Ueno Local Market Experience. You can enjoy riding boats in the pond. Ueno includes one of the biggest markets with various bards and fresh food shops, to make one fine shopping district in Tokyo; it also includes one of the famous temples in Tokyo.
Our tour starts from within the wide station of Ueno, going out of the station you will witness the beautiful nature of Ueno Park on one side, and the other side you will be dazzled with the high buildings advertising the different shops and entertaining centre. One of our friendly tour guides will be leading your way to starting this magnificent adventure in, out and about the Historical streets of Ueno while sharing a great story and adventure happened around this ancient place.

Kato was kind, patient with my family and very knowledgeable. He made us feel very welcome and accommodated the vegetarian in our group seamlessly. The food was yummy. We had a great time and learned wonderful things about Japan. Thank you Kato!

The Ueno Food Tour was amazing! Kaori was my guide. She is knowledgeable, and her English is excellent. I learned about the origins of popular dishes like Nikujyaga. There was a GENEROUS amount of food to eat, and we stopped at 5 different eating establishments, each a specializing in specific dish - my favorite of which was the wagyu beef yakiniku which was served in an air conditioned restaurant at a table with a built-in grill. The beef was served raw, and since it was thinly sliced, it took just a few minutes to grill. It was without a doubt a place I would not have found on my own by just walking the streets of Ueno or hours Googling. The walking itself was not strenuous nor rushed, and we walked at a calm yet efficient pace. Kaori-san was kind enough to take pictures throughout the tour, and I am grateful she did. Like me, she takes pictures of the food before eating.
