Explore ruins of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most preserved ancient cities.
Herculaneum was buried under volcanic material after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD but, unlike the nearby site of Pompeii, a lot of the town was preserved: roofs, beds, doors, food, and even skeletons. Walk the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site with an archaeologist and get a glimpse of what life was like before the devastating eruption. Explore intact buildings at your own pace, see well-preserved frescoes, and imagine the daily rituals of those using the shops, public gymnasium and public thermal baths that can still be seen today.

An absolute must do when visiting Herculaneum ruins. We had Arcangelo as our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. It was very easy to find him and without the information he gave us, we wouldn't have a clue what we would have been looking at. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Herculaneum’s buildings and artifacts are incredibly well preserved. Being a “resort” town much smaller in scale than Pompeii, it is also a manageable visit that does not require hours of walking to see fascinating points of interest. We took the high speed train from Rome for the day and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Finally, our guide Riccardo was extremely knowledgeable (being an archaeologist) and was passionate about sharing his insights with us.

They canceled our appointment the night before. No explanation or other info. Fortunately, there are other more serious organizers

Corrado was excellent! As we wandered through Herculeum he was able to transport us back in time and bring the town and its residents to life

Fantastic tour. The guide spoke excellent English and was very professional with a great sense of humour. All well organised. Our tour was pre booked without entrance tickets at 1600 hrs. We arrived at 1550 and there was no queue at the ticket office.

Very beautiful site, well preserved, very clear map, it was a great discovery! Parking spaces quite hard to find. The train is a 15-minute walk away.
