This was the highlight of our time in Chile. Our tour guide Sean Casey taught us so much about the history and culture in Chile upon pickup at our hotel.
We had so much fun going up and down the mountain on horseback. The horses were so gentle and the views were amazing.
We took the recommendations from Sean for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed our first pisco sour.
The wine tour was a tone of fun and we got our wineglasses as a keepsake from the tour. Even if you are not super into wines, the gardens are stunning.
Overall this is a tour we would highly recommend. Professional service, a tone of fun and the day was easy and not too crammed with activities.

This tour was so memorable. Sean was great in prepping us for what we would experience. The horseback riding was amazing and the photos were spectacular. The vineyard was so much fun with an excellent tour and tasty wines. This is a must-book tour in our opinion when you visit Chile.

I usually don't write reviews but this one is well worth writing. We looked around for a horseback experience that our daughter would enjoy as much as us, as she is an experienced rider. I think we picked the right one. The views were stunning, the guide was patient and the horses very well behaved. A very serene experience in the Andes. The lunch - at a very local roadside eatery was delicious. My wife won't stop talking about the Cazuela de pollo she had. The wine tour at Concha Y Toro was a great family friendly experience. Sean, who has dual nationality and grew up in the States and Chile was a terrific guide. Very knowledgeable about the history, food, wine, etc. He even gave us advice on places to go and see and restaurants in Valparaiso and Zapallar which was on our itinerary during our stay and a boutique winery in the Casablanca valley we visited on the way back to Santiago.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND: From pick up to drop off, this was an amazing and enlightening excursion. Sean is an expert in Chilean History and during our ride to the mountains, he was able to give a concise and complete history lesson in the development and politics of Chile. He should make a recording of this. It is THAT good. Our horseback ride in the mountains was highlighted by breathtaking views. Our guides (arrieros) were fun and excellent. Lunch was a 30 minute ride to La Vaquita Echa and it was over the top excellent; open air, authentic cuisine and live music. The varietal gardens at Concha y Toro winery (you can taste many varieties of grapes right on the vine) made the wine tour portion of the trip very worthwhile. Tasting was good but don't leave without tasting the Don Melchor Cabernet. All in all, a fantastic way to spend the day. Thank you, Sean and Thank You Chile Dream Tours!

Definitely worth the trip! We had never been horseback riding before, but we had a blast. This tour is very adventurous (slightly terrifying) but the views are beyond beautiful. The horseback ride we were on, takes you up the ridge of steep mountains with the views of the canyon below you (the cliff is next to the trail). Pablo was our Spanish/English speaking tour guide & knew what he was doing. We felt very comfortable on the horses & had a blast. If you’re scared of heights, I’d ask about an easier trail.
Photos- my only recommendation is for the horse tour company to allow time for taking photos at the top of the trail. It was so beautiful & I wish I had some better pictures to remember it.
Tips:
Wear pants, sunglasses, sunblock, tennis shoes & a short or long sleeve shirt. Bring a small mesh book bag if there’s anything you don’t want to leave in the car. You can wear a ball cap hat under the helmet. Bring a go pro and chest strap or helmet strap for it. The views are amazing & you’ll want a video! It’s nearly impossible to take photos while you’re riding. Whatever you wear, will likely be covered in dirt.
Tour Details:
We used Chile Dream Tours to set up our day trip, which was well worth the price.
Tour pickup was at 8am with Daniel. We drove out to Cascada de las Animas. We were given a quick in-service on how to ride a horse. The Horse tour was around 2hrs. We then stopped for lunch at the lying cow, where we drank sangria, had authentic Chilean food, and saw a live Chilean dance. Next we went to Concha y Toro Estate vineyard for a tour & wine tasting. The day was absolutely perfect! And Daniel was so kind, informative, & helpful. In Chile, it’s definitely helpful to have a guide who is bilingual.

We are so glad we discovered Chilean Dream Tour. We had the best day horse back riding and wine tasting.
Our guide took amazing photos and sent them to us to capture the day.
We would recommend to anyone visiting Santiago and Chile !!

Horseback was amazing! The horses were very tame and knew exactly what they were doing. Pablo was leading us. His instructions were right on. Felt very comfortable. Sean our tour guide was great! Took care of all the reservations and was very knowledgeable! Will book with him again.

Another incredible day in Chile! Because of our experience earlier in the week with this organization, we signed up for another day trip to explore Chile. We headed to the Andes mountains where my 15 yo son and I enjoyed a great horseback ride with killer vista. The weather was perfect and the views were breathtaking! We finished our week off at the Santa Rita winery which was perfect- not crowded and felt very private. Sean was our guide again today and he didn’t disappoint- his knowledge of Chile and its history should be commended. Woohoo for a great day!
