Colombia is the third largest coffee producer in the world, and this is just one of the reasons why you should know the process of this famous drink. The tour of starts at your hotel when our guide picks you up, after only 30 minutes from the city you will arrive at a coffee farm, in a traditional space where a local coffee grower will teach you the incredible process from sowing the seed to enjoy a delicious cup of organic coffee.
In the field, the coffee farmer will share all the details and you’ll be able to pick coffee next to them to be a farmer for a day.
You will also have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful landscapes and Colombian fruit trees.
Finally, after enjoying the aroma and flavor of the coffee, the guide will return you to the hotel.

Nos llevaron a una finca de café a 30min de medellin. Fue muy chulo porque te enseña cosas del café que por lo regular uno no conoce. Y para ser alguien que toma café todos los días es muy interesante. Solo se debe llevar repelente de mosquitos, después de ahí todo estuvo perfecto. La experiencia de subir a donde están sembradas las plantas de café, como se cultivan, crecen y se recolectan es muy bonito. Aparte de que la vista de la finca es espectacular. Y nuestro guía fue Julio Cesar, quien nos hizo la experiencia más fácil.

Our tour was fantastic! Our tour guide Yuly was on time, excellent driver, very, very informative and spoke perfect English which helped put us at ease to enjoy our tour. The farm was beautiful, picturesque and the owner was very welcoming. We sampled coffee made with4 different machines; all excellent!
Spent dinner last night telling our gathering of 18 people how wonderful the whole experience was.

This was an absolutely amazing tour! We tasted fresh coffee made through multiple different methods and learned so much during the tasting. We got to walk all around the farm, which had incredible views, and pick the coffee beans ourselves! We were able to see the entire process of their coffee growing and production. The tour was beautiful, fun, and interesting. Antonio the owner and our tour guide Henry were both so kind, knowledgeable, and wonderful people! I couldn’t recommend them enough. This is a must do if you are visiting Medellín!

First time coffee farm experience. Everything was exceptional, easy drive from the city, Julio’s knowledge about coffee growing, visiting the local farm, meeting the lovely owners, hands-on picking the coffee and the coffee tastings. Also, appreciated Julio’s historical insights about Medellin and Colunbia.

This private tour of a local coffee farm was a highlight of our trip to Medellin, Colombia! The farm is only ~ 30 minutes south of the city (Saboneta) and easy to access. You learn about the entire process of coffee bean cultivation - from seed to sprout - and get to enjoy their freshly roasted coffee through a variety of preparations that show you how the product changes depending on its preparation (drip vs. french press, etc.) Our guide Yuly was amazing. She is extremely personable and has great enthusiasm for what she does. Her English speaking ability is nearly perfect as she has has lived in the USA, and has a background in international business.

My fiancé and I last minute changed our plans for the day in Medellín and booked a trip to sabaneta and we lucked out! Oscar was a fantastic guide who picked us up at our hotel and shared a ton of knowledge with us about Medellin on the way to mountain. We had delicious coffee prepared several different ways, then explored the mountain, enjoyed the views and picked some of the beans ourselves. I learned so much about coffee and enjoyed some of the coffee berry tea as well. The farm is in a beautiful location and is incredibly welcoming- we felt folded in immediately! Oscar spoke excellent English and translated for me and Antonio, the farm owner when my Spanish was not strong enough (still rusty). This was a magical experience that my fiance and I will cherish! Thank you! Cannot recommend this tour and Oscar enough!

We had a wonderful time on the tour with Julio. He was great - friendly, open, informative - as was Laura at the coffee farm. We learned a lot about the process of coffee making and now have a greater appreciation for the work that goes into picking and processing the beans. We were the only ones at the farm and Julio and Laura took the time to answer our questions and really explain the process. We really enjoyed it and appreciated Julio dropping us off close to our destination as well. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Medellin.

The tour was very informative, and engaging. We learned the process from planting, harvesting, and preparing the beans to export. Along with various methods of brewing Our 4 year old enjoyed it and participated in each step. Thanks to Oscar who made him feel involved and indulged him when he asked questions. Would definitely recommend going!

We highly recommend this tour. Oscar was a fabulous guide. He gave us an excellent tour on the way to the coffee plantation. Our time at the plantation was fun and super informative. We picked coffee beans and learned all about the process. Oscar was pleasant and made the tour better than we expected.
