We loved the views from Path of the Gods. Franco made the experience memorable with his stories of the area and friends along the path.

Franco and Angela were great tour guides. Franco had lots of stories and history to share. The food and wine was awesome. It felt like we were on an adventure with family. I highly recommend this tour.

Franco and Angela were the best hosts and guide for this scenic hike with the best views of the Amalfi coast. Hike is about 5 hours, spanning almost 6 kilometers. Lots of rocks, some of them slippery, both up and down. But mostly moderate trails with those rocky challenges mixed in. Franco provides walking sticks which were very helpful. The hike is definitely strenuous, but so worth it. The best part was at the end, Franco and Angela prepared a lovely picnic dinner in the park, with homemade wine, salami, cheeses, vegetables from the garden, pasta and homemade tiramisu! Mamma Mia! What a great day!

An enthusiastic Franco greeted the 8 of us and quickly fit us with a hiking stick and we were on our way. The pace was slow but steady. This was a beautiful hike with a couple special surprises along the way. Franco was happy to share lots of fun facts about the area and was very knowledgeable about plants and flowers. There are two spots to refill water bottles along the way so you don’t need more than a couple bottles. At the end, we went to a park and enjoyed an amazing home cooked traditional Italian meal along with homemade wine. Over the top!!!
This was our favorite excursion during our time on the Amalfi coast.
Note: There is a bus that goes to the meeting spot from Amalfi. Wish we had known that. We unnecessarily over paid for a private driver. We did take the bus back at the end.

One of the best experiences we had while visiting the Amalfi Coast! Franco and Angelina are both so incredibly kind, accommodating and knowledgeable.

He’s a true local and it’s his true passion which made the jaw dropping hike even more enjoyable. The hike is fairly easy but it can be a bit confusing to navigate safely which helped to have them with us - not to mention the amazing food and wine all prepared from the land you are hiking.

He fit us in for a sunset hike on 24 hours’ notice even though he already did one in the day and dropped us to our hotel! Can’t recommend enough.

My fiancé and I hiked with Franco during our recent trip to Rome and Amalfi, and this was one of the most memorable vacation experiences ever, not just in Italy! The hike itself is only moderately challenging (though on a hot summer day you’ll sweat a lot!), the food you’ll try is abundant and delicious, and Franco and his assistant, Angela, are absolute gems!

Going in, you’ll see lots of signs warning about the equipment and condition you need to be in to do the hike, but I wouldn’t recommend taking that too literally. My fiancé and I are reasonably fit, but we’re not athletes. We still were able to move through the path at a good clip in normal sneakers while battling hangovers in 90+ degree heat with little difficulty. The views over the coast were stunning. The stop at the ancient shepherd’s hut was fascinating.

Franco has a wealth of knowledge about the area, including its history, vegetation, produce, and livestock. He even runs his own farm there. He’s extremely eager to share with his guests his knowledge and regional flavors. He’s also exceedingly friendly and you’ll want to be lifelong friends by the end! (Not to mention, he’s also a strong singer, photographer, and chef!) Likewise, Angela, who helped with food preparation and transportation, is so sweet. They do everything they can to make this experience unforgettable.

Speaking of the food, wow! During the hike we had lemon slush from a local vendor and a plate of fresh cheese and produce at the shepherd’s hut. Then we arrived at tree covered park table for our “picnic,” which turned out to be a 5-course meal prepared by Franco and Angela. Corn on the cob, two styles of meatball, salami and cheeses, pasta, and salads—these are just some of the items we ate. All fresh and much of it produced by Franco himself. And we were so full by the end we didn’t even come close to finishing the spread!

The only caveat I would offer to readers is to allow for plenty of time and a robust appetite. Traveling from Ravello, it was a 9-hour day for us from start to finish. The experience itself was about 6 hours long. You’ll be exhausted and full afterwards, so I don’t recommend any big dinner reservations that night (a mistake my fiancé and I made!). I suppose it could be a shorter and less filling day if you request it, but you should go for the full experience if you can!

Grazie mille for an incredible experience, Franco and Angela! We miss you guys already!

We spent a terrific day with Franco and Angela taking in the unbelievable views of the Amalfi coast from above. Franco is extremely knowledgeable of local customs, flora and fauna and was constantly pointing out interesting things along the path. We stopped for lemon ice and at a local goat herders hut for a light snack, to be followed by a truly incredible meal fresh from Franco’s garden— fresh mozzarella, bread, homemade salami, bean salad, fried zucchini blossoms, Franco’s wine— and that’s only the half of it! Cancel your dinner reservations if you make the good choice of joining Franco and Angela for this incredible experience. Their genuineness and hospitality were boundless. Highly recommended as a family excursion for the day.

Best thing we did during our stay on the Amalfi coast. Franco was a wonderful guide who was very informative and kept us smiling and laughing as he sang local songs during our hike. Franco's food (wine/salami, mozzarella) and our visit to a local sheep herder cabin for fresh goat cheese were unforgettable. 5 stars for Franco!!!!

Our Path of the Gods hike led by Franco and Angela was truly the highlight of our honeymoon trip in Italy, even from someone who doesn’t enjoy heights! The views were absolutely breathtaking (pictures can’t even fully capture), and Franco’s knowledge of the area pace is unmatched. The fresh lunch he provided from his own garden was truly incredible, one of the best meals we ate on our entire trip. This hike will be one we will remember fondly forever, and if we ever get the opportunity to revisit the Amalfi Coast, Franco will be the first person we will contact again to guide us on another hike. We really couldn’t recommend Franco and his company highly enough, it is an absolute must-do in the Amalfi Coast.

This hike has been the highlight of our stay on the Amalfi coast. Don’t hesitate to book this wonderful experience. You will not be disappointed. Franco is a talent, he blends his deep knowledge and love of the mountains, his passion for ecological food production and keeping alive traditional food and wine production of the region with his love of the natural environment and the history of the area. In addition, he is a thoroughly lovely person, heaping kindness and care on us as his guests on this mountain hike. I won’t ruin the surprise for other guests that follow us, but his sharing of his and other’s local produce during the hike made this a truly unique experience and one we will never forget. The gastronomical hike is a magical experience - a perfect blend of hiking the breathtaking Path of the Gods coupled with Franco’s exceptional hosting and knowledge.
