What a great way to explore Kyoto. We were two families with 5 kids in total, ranging from a 2 year old to a teenager. Peter could accommodate us all with kids bikes, bike seats and a Tagalong for the 7 year old who would need some help in pedaling. We got to see and explore so much via bike, off the more beaten path and with the flexibility of stopping without worrying about parking or public transit. The kids loved the adventure as well as the adults. The equipment was all in great condition, no clunky bicycles for us. Made for a great experience as we visited the bamboo forest and the monkeys! Peter was a great guide and I would highly recommend this bicycle experience for those wanting a more unique and special way to explore Kyoto.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on the “Afternoon Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Monkey Park Tour” with Ray as our guide. Ray was fabulous—his kind and easy-going personality made the tour even more enjoyable. He always checked in to make sure everyone was doing well, which made us feel very comfortable and cared for.
The stops were amazing, and biking over and along the river was a highlight for me. The scenery was breathtaking and each stop offered a unique glimpse into Kyoto’s beauty. Ray took great pictures throughout the day of us and the sights we visited, which he emailed to us after the tour. These photos are perfect for social media posts if that’s your thing.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Kyoto in a fun and memorable way. Thank you, Ray, for making our trip so special!

What a fun and informative tour! Ray guided us through a wonderful part of Kyoto. Along the way, he shared his incredible knowledge of local customs and history and was able to provide insightful information about the amazing sights that are part of the tour. The bike tour allowed us to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time while being able to really absorb the local scenery. Ray's local knowledge kept us safe and on the right path the entire time. The monkeys were awesome. This tour was a blast from start to finish and I highly recommend it!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! Our tour guide, JS, was awesome! He did a great job of showing us around while also giving great insight into the culture and history of the area. I particularly loved his tie in to the Japanese language and his show & tell items from his "bag of tricks". We learned so much! The owner Peter was also along for the ride and he was wonderful to chat with as well! Kyoto is a gorgeous city and seeing it by bike was such an wonderful experience. We didn't book many other official tours during our visit to Japan so our afternoon with JS and Peter gave us a much needed mental break. It was lovely to take in the sights of some of the area "must sees" without continually worrying about timeline and how to get from point a to point b. On another note, I found these bikes and seats to be the most comfortable I had ridden on! A nice plus! Cannot recommend this tour enough!!!

We loved our adventure with Peter. Knowledgable and friendly guidance, and a super fun and easy ride around Arashiyama. We learned a lot and Peter took great photos and sent them to us the same day. Would book a trip with Peter again!
