In the morning, we start our journey to the past through the Sumail Gap, which divides the Western and Easter Hajar Mountains. After this we head to the old capital of Oman, Nizwa, known for its silver Souq and the big round fort, built during the period of the Yoruba dynasty. After visiting the Souq and the Fort, Then we drive to BirkatAlMouz, a pretty oasis known for its sheer scenic value. Reach from there to the roof of Oman, the Saiq Plateau. A beautiful village which was only accessible by donkeys, for hundred of years. The view the over terraced gardens is very colorful. A variety of fruits like walnuts, pomegranates, apricot and lemon are grown here. There are many interesting walks in Wadi Bani Habib, Shrejaya and Aqur where the weather is cool and dry. Return to Muscat in the evening.

This was a great day trip with guide Khalil! The green mountains had great views and the Nizwa market was great for sightseeing and shopping.

Started the day off with a warm greeting from the tour guide of the day, Saif Al Brashdi.
Great service, clean vehicle, and great sights visited.
I would recommend Saif Al Brashdi to be a tour guide for more trips to come as he rendered exceptional service.
In summary, my tour around Nizwa and Jaber Al Akdhar was great.

Everything from start to the end was up to our expectations. Our tour guide Samir made sure that we were comfortable with the pace of the trip . He was very attentive and kind. All in all great day trip from Muscat with a great guide!

Mr. Mohamed was our guide for the tour. He greeted us with a great smile, picked us up and shared detailed insights about the locations we were visiting. He also explained geological formations of the mountains in Oman and showed us the fossils on the mountains’ rocks. Nizwa fort was my favorite, I got to see the rooms of Imam’s and student rooms as well as the castle!!! We had enough time for lunch and the food was fantastic 😃
I went home with Omani Halwa and most important great memories😊

The tour was a fabulous day out with breathtaking views, a nice walk in the centre of Nizwa, and a very friendly two fellow travelers. I would recommend it to anyone. Mohammed - our guide - was great. He spoke good English and was very kind, helpful and flexible with us. We didn't feel rushed at any point and we could enjoy our time.

The Niswa - Jabal Akhder tour was nicely organised. Morning pick-up was very prompt. Guide cum driver Mr. Ali was superb. His control on the 4 wheel drive especially over the mountain region was noteworthy. The lunch provided was not upto the mark. Everything else was just wonderful.
