WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Tour guide will meet you at Kusadasi Port or the lobby of Listed hotels with your name sign at pre-arranged time . Pick up time will be given during your confirmation. Kusadasi Cruise Terminal pick up time normally 30 to 45 minutes after your cruise arrival

Our first stop is the House of Virgin Mary. The House of Virgin Mary is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council on 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared there as a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed there

Our second stop is Ephesus Ancient City. We will start visiting one of the main highlights in Turkey, Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus; it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia. , the Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.

Terrace Houses is included in 2 ( Private with Terrace Houses and with Small group with Terrace Houses ) Options only. Not included in other 2 without Terrace Houses options Terrace Houses is located on skirt of Pion Mountain. There are 6 residential units which were built on three man-made terraces. These houses were settled by wealty citizens of Ephesus. These houses were very fancy decorated with wall frescoes and floor mosaics. There are many steps to ascend from bottom to top. Attention Not recommended for people who has walking difficulties and acro-phobia (fear of heights).

Our last stop is The Temple of Artemis where used to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world as our last stop before drive back to Kusadasi town center and port

Drive to Kusadasi Port and Kusadasi town center through Gazi Beğendi Park

Arrival to port of Kusadasi and the end of our services

The guided tour was fantastic!! Customized for our interests. We are family with a 12 and 14 year old, and Ilknur, our tour guide kept it interesting for everyone. She was fantastic!

Ilknur was great. We had a very enjoyable tour with her. She gave us a lot of good information but did not rush and let us take time to have a break or photos. The van was air conditioned and the driver was always close by with the car. We feel lucky we were able to do this tour and see a lot of the sights.

We had a family of 24 and this excursion exceeded our expectations. Izkender was awesome. We had some older people in our group and he was able to accommodate all of us during our tour. He was very knowledgable and was able to answer all of our questions. He set us up with a fantastic dinner with authentic Turkish food that all of us loved. I would highly recommend this excursion.

Thank you for being g a wonderful tour guide. You were extremely knowledgeable about all the history and you were flexible to accommodate a few of the folks who weren’t comfortable making the walk to certain locations.

Finally he setup a true Turkish lunch for all 24 of us that was amazing and reasonably priced.

Our bus driver was also top notch!

Tansu was great, very accommodating and friendly, she was very informative. She was very interested in what we wanted to see and do. We very much enjoyed the tour with her and highly recommend her and the tour, a must do when visiting Turkey, well worth it.

Our family had a wonderful time seeing the ruins and having lunch. Our guide Inan was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and we enjoyed hearing about the discoveries that have been made and will be made in the future.
Also, it was great to have the private tour bus for our group of 8.
