The Sunrise Tour offers guests an opportunity of a lifetime to view the sunrise from atop Haleakala. The tour is an exciting and informative guided vehicle tour of Haleakala National Park and the Upcountry area. Our NAI Certified Interpretive Guides will share with our guests the thrilling Culture and History of Maui along the way. Once inside Haleakala National Park, our interpretive guides will explore themes such as the unique Geology and Ecology of the surrounding area. After sunrise, guests will have an opportunity to visit the historic towns of Makawao and Pa’ia.

The sunrise was the point and only highlight. This tour included a brunch with few options, which easily could be removed to help lower the exorbitant price tag. Also note that the tour staff or owner is not very nice to deal with over the phone. She was critical of our choice to book through Viator and claimed we could get a better price booking directly with them, which was NOT true. Viators price for this sunrise tour and breakfast was 30 dollars per person cheaper. Even with the lower price this tour was the most disappointing one we went on during our time in Maui. Sadly, booking your own way to see Haleakalā for sunrise requires hacking skills or uncanny good luck as we tried 4 days in a row to get a reservation and each time watched as reservations disappeared even though we were showing 50 spots available when we clicked on recreation govs website. Sad that this is the way they manage this so that only the tour operators and people who pay outside services get a reservation, The tour guide was focused on telling us really poor jokes and nothing cultural or related to Maui. Honestly he talked more about his upcoming retirement than anything we valued, I wish him well when he retires.
My suggestion: skip this tour. The cost is nuts for what you get.
Also to the tour operator, offer a cheaper option with no lunch or snack.

A must do in Maui despite early waking hours. Stunning views of the volcano and sunrise. The guides are exceptional. I would do the bike ride next time as well.

Jad great tour. All the guides were amazing. Would recommend to take this trip. A lot of information about how Hawaii was founded. Would take this trip again.

I am utterly appalled by the abysmal service provided by Bike Maui and GetYourGuide during my recent Maui Sunrise Tour booking. Despite numerous attempts at communication and a litany of issues, both parties have shamelessly refused to issue a refund, leaving me utterly dissatisfied and infuriated.
From the get-go, it was evident that this excursion was doomed for failure. The miscommunication regarding the pickup time was just the tip of the iceberg. Despite supposedly sending an email with the corrected time, GetYourGuide failed miserably in ensuring we received this critical information. As a result, my group and I arrived promptly at the specified time, only to be met with a deafening silence and confusion.
The lack of communication from the supposed executives was simply unacceptable. We were left stranded at the pickup location like lost sheep, with no guidance or updates whatsoever. Our patience wore thin as the minutes ticked by, and our frustration mounted with each passing moment.
Attempting to salvage the situation, we tirelessly attempted to contact the supplier, but to no avail. Their phone line was perennially busy, and our voicemails went unanswered, painting a clear picture of their utter disregard for customer satisfaction.
Even more disheartening was the response (or lack thereof) from GetYourGuide. Despite exchanging a barrage of emails detailing our ordeal, they callously brushed aside our grievances and adamantly refused to issue a refund. It is evident that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction, demonstrating a blatant lack of integrity and accountability.
In conclusion, my experience with Bike Maui and GetYourGuide has been nothing short of a nightmare. From their abysmal communication to their outright refusal to rectify their mistakes, they have proven themselves to be utterly incompetent and unworthy of patronage. Save yourself the headache and avoid booking with them at all costs.
