Our guide Karma (Ekram Hagag) met us at our hotel in Luxor. On the way to Abydos and Dendera, she gave us some information on the temples, which gave us a good preview of what we would be seeing when we got there.
While these temples are further away (and probably less visited than the other temples in Upper Egypt) they have the best-preserved hieroglyphics that we have seen. Sections which have been restored show off their brilliant colours. The walls, columns and ceilings are filled with such interesting stories, which Karma was able to relay to us.
