Hello sailor! Welcome aboard!
I'm Arthur and captain of Pirates Rio! We are an agency that specializes in a private tour of the Rio de Janeiro region.
In this experience that you are reading our mission is to take you to see in a single day the main sights of the city! In our standard itinerary we go to the following points, write it down:
- Christ Redeemer
- Metropolitan Cathedral
- Selaron Staircase
- Sambodrome (carnival happens here!)
- Maracanã soccer stadium
- Lunch Pause (Ufa!)
- We finish in Sugarloaf
Throughout the tour you will have what we call the pirate boat (a super comfortable car with air-conditioning) + the captain of the boat (a accredited tour guide) at your disposal to pick you up from your hotel and take you on this adventure!
On our vessel there will always be water, mints and some snacks to make you comfortable!
And when lunch arrives, where are we going? Wherever you want! Tell us your cooking preference and we will book a table at the best restaurant in the city! Hey, sailor, are we going on this one? We are waiting for you!
*Pick-up and drop-off only in the neighborhoods: Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Botafogo, Leme, Santa Teresa. For other neighborhoods check the extra fee for pick-up and drop-off.

Fond memories of Rio! It was well organized, flexible to do the main things we wanted, and it was so informative with Arthur.
We joined them as a family of 3, really enjoyed the experience, highly recommend it.

Our tour was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. My son and I went to Rio for a mother son high school graduation trip. Thanks to Pirates Rio, we had the chance to experience all of the city’s most famous sites as VIPs all in one day. We felt like insiders as we explored throughout the day, often enjoying these destinations away from crowds thanks to our tour guide’s experience and insight. And did I mention the photos? I will treasure them and the memories forever. An emphatic 10/10 and well worth the money for a private tour.

Many thanks to Arthur and his driver Jorge for a fantastic, eventful day in Rio! Arthur took our wishes into account even before we planned the tour. Even last-minute changes to the sightseeing hotspots were no problem for him. He gave us all the information we needed to know about the city and its history. He answered all our questions professionally. The best thing was that he knows someone everywhere, so we were able to avoid the long lines at the gondola to Sugarloaf Mountain, for example. We had a lot of fun together and will never forget this day in this incredibly impressive, beautiful city. Thank you very much again!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Our stay in Rio is really short, and the tour with Arthur made it worth while! If you are looking for a quick yet money worth trip in Rio, then Arthur is the one! We may not have been the best guests to tour with since we ask little to no questions, since we rather savor the moment both the information and the view. Every money spent are worth it. Arthur helped us to transfer with our sudden change of hotel and we appreciate it a lot! There are a lot of things that Arthur helped us out when we asked him and we know that is out of his role as our tour guide but he never once hesitated to help us out. George, our driver for the day, has been really kind and friendly. Thank you again!
