It was a wonderful hike! Not too strenuous but not flat either. Scenery was amazing with spots for viewing the valley below. Lots of trees and rocks and a few wild cuati crossing our path. Cool cave but didn’t see any bats. Once we got to the waterfall it was refreshing to stand under it. Our tour guide was friendly and helpful. Guide should learn more about the local plants and wildlife.

Not to be missed, it is such a different take on Rio and an insight into less known aspects of Carioca culture; the guide is splendid, real made the day with his attitude, knowledge and friendliness. It is something that everyone should be doing, I m surprised is not known more

If you are choosing to do this tour you must go with Eduardo. 1) he has a natural instinct to find animals in the forest. We saw 2 different species of monkeys, a sloth and a few coati. 2) you will not find a better tour guide with his photography skills, 3) he has an amazing energy that will make your tour fun. Eduardo went above and beyond our expectations. Don’t miss this tour!

I really enjoyed this tour. We were a small group just 6 of us, so it wasn’t rushed like when you’re in a big group. The waterfalls were absolutely worth the hike and we went inside what cave as well. Bernardo was a great guide.
