A Boat Day offers private, customized boat charters for small groups of up to 8 passengers. Sit back and relax on the very comfortable, 25 foot double-decker Tahoe Funship with a slide, as you cruise the waterways with a Captain as your guide. Your boating adventure will get you up close to wild dolphins and take you to secluded barrier islands so you can go shelling on pristine beaches or swim in the Gulf of Mexico. Our private boat tours are perfect for family outings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, bachelor(ette) parties, marriage proposals, romantic getaways, reunions, spreading ashes, or any other reason!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your BOAT DAY starts with a safety briefing, then it's time to cast off! Your trip will typically take you north of Clearwater Beach to our beautiful barrier islands including Caladesi Island, Honeymoon Island and Three Rooker Sand Bar. Along the way it is very likely that we will see dolphins. We may also see manatees, sea turtles, rays, Ospreys, native birds or other local wildlife. As your BOAT DAY continues, it is common for guests to get off the boat and go swimming and snorkeling, or shelling and exploring on our beautiful islands. Afternoon and evening tours can include watching the sun set from the boat, over the Gulf of Mexico. All guests will enjoy a cooler with complimentary bottled water, Big Joe water floats and mesh shell bags.

One of the few untouched islands along the Gulf Coast, Caladesi Island State Park is accessible only by boat, but is worth the extra effort.

One of Florida’s best-loved state parks, Honeymoon Island has more than four miles of beach to explore along with a three-mile trail through one of the last remaining virgin slash pine forests.

Three-Rooker Baris a small, semicircular island that has emerged within the last decade. The fact that sand has been accumulating at this location while erosion has occurred at other locations demonstrates the complexity of the coastal processes at work on the West-Central Florida coast. As the island emerged, it quickly became vegetated, increasing its stability.
5.
Laid-back Clearwater Beach is known for its namesake stretch of soft, white sand, which draws visitors year-round for jet-skiing, parasailing, and stand-up paddle boarding in its calm waters.

We recently had an incredible private boat charter with Captain Ed from A Boat Day, and it was an experience we'll never forget! Captain Ed was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and attentive to all our needs.

Our adventure took us to North Holiday Island, where we were thrilled to see a manatee up close! Captain Ed also made sure we had plenty of opportunities to snorkel, collect shells, and walk on the pristine beach.

His familiarity with the area and its wildlife greatly enriched our trip. He shared fascinating insights about the local environment, making our time on the water both fun and educational.

We had an amazing time exploring the beautiful surroundings, snorkeling, and gathering lovely shells. Captain Ed’s friendly and accommodating nature ensured that everyone had a fantastic experience.

My son and I had a FANTASTIC experience. We got to see several Dolphins including a baby and even had a Manatee swim within feet of us! What a great way to spend our Sunday. Capt. Randy was always conscious of safety and made sure the kids had a blast !

Captain Jordan was awesome. We had our boat ride during Memorial weekend and she was able to find us a more private spot for our group and she was really flexible when we decided to stay there longer!

Seriously the best afternoon on the water. Captain Ed was amazing. Knowledgeable yet fun and he did everything to make our afternoon just perfect. Expert in finding the dolphins and getting them to play with the boat. Such a professional and personable captain. Even the music was perfect. Best day ever! I’d give it and Captain Ed 6 stars out of 5!

Seeing wildlife Marcos was very fun. The captain was very nice to us and we loved everything he showed us and he has great knowledge of the sea just like Ernest Hemingway.

We had a great afternoon on our fun boat with Captain Marcos. We saw dolphins & a manatee on our way to an amazing sandbar to go shelling. He took us to a second sandbar & we could swim and splash off the slide. Our kids are still talking about how fun the day was & if you’re in Clearwater make sure you book a day on the fun boat!
