Highly recommend VIP Tours! Our tour guide, Justin, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and funny! He kept us highly entertained for the entire 2.5 hour tour. Driving in NOLA is no joke, but he navigated the city safely and efficiently to show us so much of what the city has to offer, including history, pop culture, fun facts, superstitions, language, tourist destinations, lesser known gems, and so much more. He grew up in the NOLA and you can tell he truly loves this city. This is definitely a great way to start a trip to “The Big Easy”!

(This was our 2nd bus tour of the day, and I would absolutely choose this one over the other any day. Justin covered everything we learned from the other tour, plus so much more. I feel like you get a lot more “bang for your buck” from VIP Tours. Plus, they pick you up from your hotel or reserved pick-up location.)

I think the tour was pretty good to start our holiday as we got to see a number of places that we wouldn't get to see otherwise. Seeing and listening to the stories of Hurricane Catrina and also how they bury the dead is interesting. It was also good that the bus collected us from our hotel with no issues. Our driver Jerad was very nice, funny and made everyone feel welcome. I do feel though that the price was a little too high as I would have liked more time at the stops. Overall pretty good tour but definitely wouldn't pay any more than I did.

I really enjoyed the tour and being able to see different parts of New Orleans. We drove through neighborhoods, learned interesting history and culture...our guide covered all topics and was funny and engaging. The cemetery is very interesting, stopping at Cafe Du Monde for a snack and bathroom break was perfect (other than the pouring rain on us exactly at the time we had to exit the bus). If you are short for time like I was, then this 2 hour beginner overview tour is a great pick. I also loved that I was picked up at my hotel and was able to get dropped off anywhere I wanted within the area at the end. Oh, and it is super hot and humid, so riding in the air conditioned bus was very welcomed and needed. Bring an umbrella! It rains off and on every, single day at this time of year.

This was a great 2 hour tour. Justin was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable with the right mix of humour.
We were picked up at our hotel in a timely manner. We only had 2 full days in New Orleans and this was the perfect tour to see a lot of sights in a short time, came away with a good sense of the history and culture of New Orleans.

While the tour gave a great overview of the city, it was clouded by our driver, Nick, refusing to wait for one in our party who was minutes from the shuttle. It was 2:45. Tickets say the tour starts at 3:00 with boarding starting at 2:30. We thought all had plenty of time to board. What they mean is they start their rounds of pick ups at 2:30, meaning ticket-holders must be on standby at their hotel waiting for the bus. Which is fine, if these directions were more clear on their website. Consequently, our participant had to scramble to find a taxi that could rush him to another location in the hope of catching up with us. Not a great introduction to the Big Easy.
