Prompt pick up by Putu to the hike start. Had a wonderful caring guide 1.5hours up to the top. Was cloudy so no sunrise views but was still enjoyed it. Went to the hot springs which was okay. Only one pool was really hot. Restaurant was nice and again cloudy views but I imagine on a better day it would have been beautiful. Putu took lots of photos after the hike which was nice

Awesome experience. Getting picked up at 2:30am for a long hike is never fun, but the driver and the guide up the mountain were excellent. The guide was very patient, as I had to stop and rest several times. Once at the top, he got us some excellent seats to see the best sunrise ever! Afterwards he showed us a few more areas at time to see the geothermal vents. The driver brought us to a great restaurant for breakfast, and suggested that we visit a coffee plantation afterwards for nothing extra. The plantation was very informative, and we ended up buying some things. Highly recommend this experience!

We booked the Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking trip up Mount Batur based on a recommendation from a family member who used the group 5 years earlier.

We started off by easily booking online and were sent confirmation immediately. This was also followed up by a WhatsApp message (lots of businesses use WhatsApp in Bali).

The day before our trip we were messaged by Gede who sent us loads of information about what to bring and wear, and what to expect. This also included confirmation of our hotel pickup and the driver who would be collecting us. He kindly sent us a photo of the driver so we knew exactly who to expect.

On the morning of our trip (very very early in the morning) Arya, our driver arrived, on time, to pick us up. He was incredibly pleasant all journey and answered any questions we had. A credit to the business. Upon arrival he introduced us to Jro who was our guide up the mountain. Jro was amazing. Really knowledgeable about the area and clearly passionate about his job. When we arrived at the top, Jro found us the absolute best spot to watch the sunrise, which we enjoyed with a coffee, and some eggs cooked in the volcanic steam. Jro took loads and loads of photos and videos for us, creating so many memories we will treasure forever. If we didn't have Jro we wouldn't have got half of the photos we did.

We were treated to the most amazing sunrise we've ever seen. We were a bit worried we might have cloud but were in luck.

Regarding the difficulty, if you are mobile and fit you won't have an issue with this climb, although your legs won't thank you the next day! It's a tough slog but not technically difficult... We've walked tougher mountains in the Lakes, UK.

Jro got us safely down the mountain and back to Arya who drove us to a fantastic restaurant for breakfast (included in the trip). We recommend the fried rice breakfast, it was lovely. Arya then drove us back to our hotel again.

Both Jro and Arya were amazing and couldn't do enough for us throughout our trip. If you need a guide up Mr. Batur for sunrise, use this company, they are excellent and worth every single Rupiah!

The tour company is very professional and know what they are doing. We were picked up promptly at the time agreed upon, had a comfortable ride with driver Putu Anton, who dropped us off with Jero, the hiking guide. He was very helpful, and we were the first to get to the top at that particular day. He took us around the crater and we took a different route descending, quite rocky and slippery but he was very helpful along the way, holding my hands to make sure I don't slip. Just a note, if you need them to provide hiking poles, mention it at the time of booking. Or bring your own. This hike is rated difficult on AllTrails, so be sure to prepare. Wear proper hiking shoes, bring poles. Other than that, you can rest assured that the tour agency will take good care of you. Our guide took some amazing photos of us, I put one here in this review. He definitely knows what he's doing. Thank you Jero, definitely recommending him.
We were then driven to a beautiful brunch spot with stunning views and delicious food. Our driver was very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this tour company.

Great day well organised and the hike was well worth the effort. Well worth planning in amd doing even with the early start. The cafe afterwards was a pleasant surprise.

The experience was great. All of the process was done smoothly. Our driver Putu arrived early so we could start exactly at 1.30. On the way there we had to pick up our friend from another location and that process was really easy as well. Putu the driver drove really well, let us play our own music and made bathroom breaks when needed.

When we arrived at the mountain our tour guide Made was waiting for us. He was really lovely and hike went really well. We made well timed resting stops and the pace was really good for all of us.

The view from top of Mount Batur was amazing. We got some tea and eggs when we waited for the sunrise.

After the hike we went for the prepaid breakfast. It was really good and the view from the restaurant was beautiful.

All in all we were really happy with this tour and the experience. Putu and Made were both really great and wish them all the best in the future.

We just had the most amazing family adventure climbing Mount Batur in Bali to celebrate my 38th birthday, and it was all thanks to our fantastic driver, Putu, and our super helpful guide, Made.

From the get-go, Putu and Made made us feel confident that we could do this hike with our little ones, even though most places recommend kids to be 8+. Their positivity and encouragement were so reassuring, and they were sure we’d make it to the top for the spectacular sunrise.

Putu was great – he showed up right on time with a big smile. During the drive, he kept us entertained with interesting stories about Bali and made sure we were all comfy. Plus, he turned into our backup photographer and snapped some awesome family shots. He also, arranged a car seat at very short notice to make sure the kids were safe during the early morning drive up from Ubud.

Made was simply amazing. He was so caring and helpful with our kids. When our 4-year-old son got tired, Made carried him up the mountain like a champ. He even helped with our 2-year-old daughter when she fell asleep, making the hike so much easier for us.

After the hike, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast organized by the team. The view was breathtaking, and the coffee was top-notch – a perfect end to a perfect morning.

This hike was extra special because of Putu and Made. They went above and beyond to make sure our family had an incredible experience. If you’re looking for an unforgettable hike in Bali, especially with a young family, we highly recommend them.

What a fantastic trip. We were lucky with the weather but our guide Gede was amazing. He was friendly and helpful. He obviously knew where the best place to sit was and also got us hot drinks at the top. Views were stunning. About a 5k walk each way but not too strenuous. A bit slippery on the loose dirt on the way down but Gede held my wife's hand and made sure she was safe. So glad we did this. Excellent!!
