Planeta Maya tours are the worst tours I have ever had in my life, the guide is a pig, he was harassing my friends, he has no respect for the clients, we had to tell him to respect us and that's how it was when he gave him two lines. Furthermore, it is not worth what it costs, in other agencies it costs much less and of better quality.
I don't recommend it.....

Much smaller than Chichen Itza but just as beautiful and awe inspiring. The views of the Caribbean Sea from the cliffs of Tulum are worth the tour price alone. The turquoise water is so beautiful. We had originally booked the tour with a sea turtle snorkel swim but unfortunately the waters were too rough that day. Our tour guide, Joshua, gave us an option of a cenote swim and so glad we went. The water was crystal clear and the plant life was so beautiful.

Our tour lasted about 2 hours. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave the tour in both Spanish and English. It was a learning experience and would have been better if it were possible to see the insides of the buildings. Sadly, past visitors had defaced these ancient ruins, causing them to be closed to the public.
It reminds us that Mexico has a rich history. Advanced in mathematic astronomy architecture and the arts.

They were friendly, it was pretty good, but I didn't like that they fired the Tulum guide for not being certified and they didn't refund the amount of the tour. We had to stay alone in Tulum, because they took the guide off the property. That was embarrassing. Everything else is very good. The cenote is very nice, it is underground, very good experience. You also snorkel with turtles in Akumal, a beautiful experience, and have lunch at Pubta Venado. The place is quite good and the food is delicious.

Our first time in Mexico so we wanted to experience everything. Mary was a terrific guide. The drive in the van was comfortable. Tulum ruins were very busy but she kept us together as a small group. She explained that the vendors, artists and trades-people in the ruins made the items they sold; she cautioned us about the other vendors outside of the ruins near the restaurants. We had time to shop between seeing the ruins and eating lunch. Lunch was very good; the vegetarian tacos I ordered were chockful of veggies.

On our second day in Mexico we visited Tulum on a 1/2- day excursion. This was arranged by Amstar and Cancun Adventures. Tulum is very different from Chichen Itza but still very interesting. The Mayans in Tulum had different beliefs and ritual ceremonies which was explained tour our guide Mr. B. They do not allow lighters, cigarettes, gum matches or bottled water (no plastics).

Simply beautiful!!! From start to finish, an experience that allows us to see not only the fascinating sea, but also how the environment frames a set of exciting moments.
