Motor boat was the best way as we got to see a greater expanse of the canal system.
If you’re from Australia, tell your boat driver that you can’t take wood back to Australia, this will avert many unwanted stops and being hassled.
Keep an eye out for the vendors throwing a kick back into the bottom of the boat by the driver as you pull away, they don’t want you to see it, it’s funny to watch 😊

We had the most wonderful day with our tour guide Lin- I can’t praise her highly enough- from beginning to end everything was fabulous. Not only did Lin treat us like gold, she also explained everything in detail and took great photos of everyone. Both the train ride & boat trip through the floating market were fantastic - plus we had the added bonus of learning how to make salt at the salt farm & coconut sugar at the plantation. All along the way we sampled dishes & had lovely little treats, not to mention a delicious lunch at the end- thank you Lin!

The places were very nice and so was our tour guide. When I wasn’t feeling well, Lin, the tour guide, helped me through the whole time and even used oil to massage my head. The driver, Kevin, was nice enough to give me water and look after me when I was resting in the car. I definitely would recommend this tour!!

Lin, the tour guide, and Kevin, the driver, were super helpful to us. Lin was able to explain in details about the trip. She showed us step by step how to catch the train, where to sit, where to take photos. She took photos and videos for us and airdrop to all of us. She did help my wife to recover from the heat and massage her until she feels better. She is the best tour guide ever to us. Kevin was a super drive that he drove very smoothly and also helped my wife and us a lot beyond his normal schedule work. They were always smile and recommend us where and when to shop on the railroad market, floating market and coconut farm. We highly recommend going a tour with Lin and Kevin, as we will try to have them again on the next trip in Bangkok.

We did the group tour in April. It was a great trip. Our guide was great, spoke good English and managed to get us to the Railway Market about 20mins before a train came in. It was cool to see it transform from a market to a train track. After the train passed, we had time to shop (seemed like a good place for good price souvenirs) and there was a local toilet (guide helped to show me where the toilet was). The Floating Market was a brilliant experience; we bought a beer from a boat that was going in the opposite direction (which was lots of fun). There are toilets available near the floating market that were clean enough and just required a small payment to use e.g. 5-10 Thai baht. We did not eat from the market area as we had taken snacks with us. It would appear that the souvenirs at the floating market are expensive compared to other places but we did see people haggling the price down and they managed to get a better deal. We had plenty of time at each stop. This was a very good trip and good value for money. I would recommend it.
