Worth every penny. Must do when in Puket. We worked with Pat and had THE MOST FUN cooking and all of the meals we made were so delicious. She was prompt, funny, knowledgeable and made the class more fun then we could've imagined. 12/10 would recommend and would do again.

This was an amazing experience! I took the cooking class as a recommendation from a friend. We made 4 dishes that we were served at the end of the class. We made curry paste from scratch and made panang curry chicken, sea bass soup, money bags, and pepper prawn stir fry. It even had a trip to the market and we received an apron, bag, some curry pastes, and a beautiful certificate. The cooking stations were set up for each student and we were very comfortable. If you like to cook, this experience is worth it!

Fantastic experience! This was one of the best activities we’ve done as a family! Beautiful setting in at the famous Blue Elephant restaurant which is housed in the old governor’s house and is a restored Sino-Portuguese building. The trip to the market were well learnt about the exotic ingredients then we went back and learnt four recipes before our creations were served to us for lunch ! Amazing flavours and we think we may just be able to recreate it all back home! Paul our talented chef teacher was fabulous! He kept the teenage boys entertained! They gave it 10/10! Highly recommend!

Fantastic cooking school which started with a tour of the local food market, which was good as we learnt a lot about the different types of local ingredients available for cooking, the staff were super friendly and professional, we cooked three different dishes and sat in the restaurant and ate all three dishes at the end of our class. Highly recommended.

We were met at the Blue Elephant cooking school and walked through the local market to collect some ingredients for our recipes. Molly, our very experienced chef for the day was very patient with our questions and explained along the way all the different herbs, fruits and vegetables we came across. Offering for us to smell and feel them and taste where we could.
When we returned back to the school we were shown how to prepare each meal and then left to do it ourselves with Molly on hand to offer advice.
We cooked some of the most amazing Thai food I have ever eaten, the flavours were incredible. Hoping to replicate at home soon.
We highly recommend the Blue Elephant Cooking School, the staff were wonderful and eating our prepared meals in the restaurant at the end was amazing.

This cooking class was amazing! We had the best time! The market tour was very informative, and the guide taught us a lot about Thai ingredients and vegetables (and showed us ones we'd never heard of).
The cooking class was very fun too. The lead chef (Molly) gave clear instructions and demonstrated each step of the way for each meal that we cooked. She was laid back and made some fun jokes the whole time. At times, the chef invited us to help her cook (e.g., grinding ingredients with the mortar and pestle, frying prawns, etc.).
They provided us with recipes to follow and keep, which we look forward to trying again at home. The one downside is that, occasionally, the steps in the recipes were out of order to how it was demonstrated by the chef, but following either method would be fine.
The meals were very easy to make, even with our low culinary ability, and were absolutely delicious too. You could control how spicy the meals were by adding more or less chilli.
For the price that we paid, this cooking class was 100% worth it! Everyone should do it, it was amazing! A must for travellers to Phuket!

We have done a couple of cooking classes in Phuket but the school at Blue Elephant was the best! We started with a local market tour and learned more about the local produce we were about to cook with. We then headed back to the colonial style house for class. Chef Molly took us through 4 tasty courses. Chef Molly was an amazing host with a great sense of humour and exceptional culinary skills. We then enjoyed our dishes in the beautiful restaurant. Great experience!

We had an incredible time at this cooking class. I really liked the format of the class and appreciated the technical setup of the instructor’s area - mirror on ceiling above her cooking station so we could better see her cooking from our desks - as well as live video feed to tv monitor from another angle. We would watch her prepare and cook, then be sent to our cooking stations to do same. We made 3 delicious dishes and a dessert. Accommodations were made to each student with specific needs - I.e. vegetarian and food allergies. The instructor was knowledgeable and with her humor and skill, kept everyone captivated. We ate our dishes in the beautiful surround s of the restaurant and were given some wonderful souvenirs to take home. A must take class for anyone interested in Thai food!!!
