Salina Capers Tour

We had a fantastic private caper tour with Giuseppe today, enjoying a comprehensive tour of a number of the villages on Salina before a delicious caper and wine tasting experience. We learnt so much about the island and could not have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Salina who wants to learn more about the island and it's gastronomy - many thanks Giuseppe for a very enjoyable tour!

We had such a great time tasting local capers, cheese and wine! This tour was one of our favourite highlights of our time in Salina. Giuseppe is a very generous and caring host and it's clear he's very passionate about the slow food movement. He gave us a unique glimpse into island life that we didn't get elsewhere. He even offered to drop us off at our accommodation at the end of the evening and tips for good places to eat/visit for the rest of our trip. Grazie mille Giuseppe!

Giuseppe is a great guide and very easy to work with! He worked with us in a very large group to arrange a number of experiences. His English is good and he is very patient.

Guide Giuseppe was very informative, and the tour was delightful. Visit to organic farm and tasting of capers, caponata and wine was a perfect end to the tour!

This was an excellent tour. The pace was comfortable, and we learned so much about the history, geography, culture, agriculture, and food of Salina. We recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about their surroundings.

We loved this experience. Giuseppe was a superb host - who shared his knowledge and love for the bounty of Salina. We learned about the producing of capers and the delicious wines of Salina. We had great tastings of both. This was a memorable day as it was also my birthday! And made it all the more special. Highly recommend

Giuseppe is a great guy with a love for Salina. He took us around the island in his car, stopping at beautiful vistas. He discussed the agriculture and the architecture. We got a view of the island we otherwise wouldn’t have gotten. Learning about capers and watching people pick them was fascinating. The caper and wine tasting (including pesto, caponata etc.) on a bio farm was special. I took one star off the review because we were eaten alive with mosquitos at the tasting stop. We waited 10-15 minutes for another group to arrive. It took a while before citron was lit. I realize mosquitoes aren’t something anyone can control, but you can limit the time outdoors at dusk. Gotta break out the DEET I guess! I recommend the experience.
