Uncover the history of one of the world’s most dangerous volcanoes, Mount Vesuvius, during this full-day private tour. I study archaeology and I have been a guide in Pompeii for 27 years: I still cannot believe how advanced Romans were! You will be surprised by the size and at the amazing state of preservation of the archaeological site. We will visit the Forum, ancient public baths, private houses, taverns, shops, theatres, and more. We will admire fabulously preserved frescos and mosaics that adorn the walls and floors of the ancient houses. We will walk at your own pace and I will make sure that everyone in your group understands what he is looking at. We will stay away from crowds as much as possible. The itinerary is flexible and I shall adapt to your will and needs.

We will take a rest at a beautiful winery in the National Parl of Mt Vesuvius. Once on the bay of Naples, we will drive a bit on the Mt Vesuvius to reach this organic wine farm. It is a wonderful setting overlooking the Bay of Naples. There will be a short guided walk to the vineyard to discover this unique land and how they produce their “Lacryma Christi” wines. It is beautifully located and it is going to be a fun experience. Lunch consists of a pre-set menu: Appetizers: Bruschetta, ricotta cheese, olives, provolone cheese, salame and capocollo cured pork meat Main: Spaghetti with the cherry tomatoes “del Piennolo” from Mt Vesuvius Dessert: “Pastiera” - wheat and ricotta cake Along with lunch over 5 different wines will be served (Rosè Sparkling, White, Rosé. Red, Red Reserva, sweet Dessert Wine). The cost is € 28 per person that can be paid on the spot with a card or cash. There also is an upgraded version of the wines for the cost of € 35 per person.

We are not going to climb up to the crater of Mount Vesuvius. We will visit a small organic wine farm. The farm lies within the National Park of Mount Vesuvius. It has wonderful views both on the Bay of Naples and on the volcano. We can take a short wine tour and have a delicious lunch. It is going to be fun and delicious! Do not miss this unforgettable experience!

The Ancient Roman city of Herculaneum was buried by Mount Vesuvius 2000 years ago and it came back to light during the last century. We will admire stunning views of the Volcano and of the Bay of Naples. We will learn what happened during that terrific eruption. We will visit ancient houses, Bath-Houses, little shops, taverns. We will enter the daily life of the average Roman. We will admire incredible frescoes and mosaics. We will be awe-stricken by the dreadful skeletons! We will walk approximately two hours to discover the archaeological park and the little museum. Herculaneum is more compact than Pompeii, better preserved, and easier to visit. It is going to be a pleasant walk away from the crowds of Pompeii. The itinerary is going to be tailored to your needs and requests.

Such a great tour and especially, our tour guide! We learned SO much more than we expected and our guide shared things from a perspective that we would not have imagined otherwise. Definitely a highlight of our trip and cannot recommend it enough.

We could not say enough about how amazing Fabrizio was for our family! From the moment he picked us up, we could feel his upbeat energy. His car was large, super clean and comfortable. Fabrizio was fantastic throughout the whole day. Our family has been on many tours across many countries & we all agreed Fabrizio was really one of the best — his passion & love for history is astounding and really makes for a wonderful experience! Plus he really fully engages the kids to make it all so fun & interesting. As we started our trip to Herculaneum, he began telling us about the coast, the landscape, the history — he was like a wonderful professor who also patiently & excitedly answered the many questions our kids (and us) peppered him with! At Herculaneum— he walked us through not just what you could see, but all the history behind it. And even stopped to ask the kids questions to ensure they were engaged and understood what he was telling them (and often asking if they were ok, or tired or hot). He arranged for a wonderful wine tasting & lunch in between on Vesuvius so we could eat and rest. It was both lovely & tasty! And we opted to not take the wine tour to optimize our experience in Pompeii. Once at Pompeii, he asked the kids (and us) about our energy level (it was hot!) so he could tailor our experience to be the best it could be. He helped to focus us on the most interesting spots, taking into account not to duplicate what we had already seen in Herculaneum. Really made the experience outstanding! We were so thankful we found him!

A superior tour for our family (children 9 & 13 years)! Fabrizio showcased extraordinary depth of knowledge and engaging communication. As the day progressed, Fabrizio adapted the tour to our interests and to avoid crowds around sites similar to what we’d seen earlier, making for as private an experience as you could imagine at such bustling sites.

He skillfully managed our children’s attention & energy with an intuitive understanding of when to engage them and when to let them explore.

If Fabrizio was free tomorrow we’d do it all over again, and we look forward to returning to Napoli and touring within again. In the meantime, we highly recommend Fabrizio to all!

Wonderful day. Our guide, Fabrizio, was very knowledgeable and eager to share, and also caring about our needs and desires of what we wanted to see and learn. He managed to avoid the crowds making it a very pleasant experience. The lunch at the farm was just ok, bit the view and the ambiance were worth going 100%.

Fabrizio is the best tour guide ever. He showed us southern Italy on the West Coast covering all the notable tourist sites for which it is famous. He communicates effortlessly and with style and does it with charming grace and sincere warmth.

This tour was great. Our guide Fabrizio was very knowledgeable and personable. We saw all of the highlights and had a wonderful lunch at a beautiful local winery. Fabrizio answered all of our questions and was great at communicating prior to the tour when we contacted him. There is so much to see at these sites that it is really important you have a guide to show you around. I highly recommend.

We had an incredible time with Fabrizio! We spent about two hours at each site and Fabrizio moved us around quickly and efficiently to see as much as we could! I loved seeing the Temple of Isis and he was excellent at relating everything back to what we saw in the Archeological museum in Naples.
