During this 4 hours walking tour, you will stop at different locations to have the "Story time" and gain the insight view to the fascinating culture. You will visit major buildings and courtyards. Please note: You must bring actual passport for this tour. This tour have two options Option 1: Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City Group Tour Start time: 10:00am Meeting point: In front of Beijing Urban Planning Exhibition Hall Option 2: Forbidden City and Coal Hill Park Group Tour (Tour without Tian'anmen Square) Start time: 8:00am and 13:00 Meeting point: In front of Donghuamen (East gat of the Forbidden City) Itinerary: Option 1: Forbidden Cit Tour with Tian'anmen Square Meet your group in front of Beijing Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, then follow your tour guide to go through travel agency passage to enter Tian'anmen Square (It might close anytime by the government, in that case everyone have to wait the line).

Tiananmen Square is the geographical center of Beijing City. It is the largest city square in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 square meters (about 109 acres).Followed by your expert and professional guide, a very informative introduction of the Tian'anmen square and surrounding buildings will be given to your group, as everyone moves along towards to the Forbidden City.

Once enter the Forbidden City, your guide will find a quite sitting area and introduce you to the palace, making you feel immersed in the history of the Ming and Qing Dynasty. People always say: when visit Forbidden city, 70% is to learn the stories and 30% is to see the palace.During the walking tour, you will stop at different locations to have the "Story time" and gain the insight view to the fascinating culture.This detailed tour to the Forbidden city also including the visit to the important museums to discover the treasures from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

You will visit important buildings such as the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Central Harmony and Hall of Preserving Harmony.

Then continue to check out the living quarters in the palace: Hall of Union, Hall Heavenly Purity, and Hall of Earthly Tranquillity.

You'll be walking pass the most notable buildings during the tour as well as the west and east chambers. Check the Itinerary for the full list of sights. Stroll around the courtyards and halls of the Forbidden city with your tour guide, and learn the histories and stories about this massive palace. You will visit these buildings inside the Forbidden City. Hall of Great Harmony where the emperor handle states affairs.
7.
Your tour will end at the Imperial Garden in the north, then you can decide to explore more of the Palace on your own, or going to the next destination. Your guide will give suggestions for you on where to go and how to get to the next place.

If you choose option 2, after the Forbidden city. Dive into Beijing's rich history with a short hike in Jingshan Park, climb up to the the summit of Jingshan Hill with your tour guide, enjoy panoramic views of Beijing's cityscape, including an unparalleled view of the Forbidden City. For option 2, your tour will end here.

Lucy was a great tour guide. Gave us lots of interesting facts about the forbidden city. She took us to parts that not every big tour went to. Would highly recommend!

Have been a member for TripAdvisor for years and it’s my first time to write the review and I have to. Booked the tour 10 days ago and the last night before the tour they called me to say that they made a mistake for the time (I booked afternoon and they got me morning ticket). The staff was very rude and even hang up our call and never picked up again, even though it was their mistake. God bless you if you won’t have any issue with the tour otherwise the backstage service is horrible!!!!
I also feel pity for this company which seems has so many good tour guides however the admission staffs will break their credit once anyone encounters any. I can’t believe that in China today, the service is everything, still has this kind of staff existing.

We did the package with Tianamen Square and the forbidden city with two younger kids, and we all loved it.

The company was very responsive, service minded and organized, and really reduced the time spent queuing.

The guide - Ray - was a great storyteller, engaged with the whole group and even managed to get the kids onboard when they started loosing energy. A great guide!!!

This tour was awesome. Lucy was communicative and clear and knew all the shortcuts for navigating such a busy attraction. We saw all the best parts of TianAnMen square and forbidden city but were not bogged down by the size. Lucy knew so many interesting facts and stories that really brought the history of the areas alive — otherwise we would’ve felt like we were just looking at the same types of buildings over and over! It was also impossible to book tickets on our own, and booking this tour saved a lot of hassle for us as it was all taken care of. As a foreigner we would highly recommend doing this tour if you’re interested in learning about the significance of these attractions and also navigate the crazy crowds. It was a very hot day — if you come in summertime, wear a hat or bring an umbrella to block the sun!

Perfect tour!!! It could not have been better. Jack was the most perfect tour guide, he knew exactly where to go so that we could enter the forbidden city without any long queues. Jack also showed all the relevant places and knew all the respective stories and background information to tell. In addition, the entire tour was organised very well. Everything was clearly described after the booking, the tour was always on time, the schedule was kept and we had breaks when necessary (and we even got a water bottle during a break in the hot midday sun). Thank you so much, Jack. Your tour is highly recommended. It could not have been better.

Susan was fantastic, helpful and very knowledgeable. She communicated clearly and answered everyone’s questions. Also, in well advance she was very organised in letting us know exactly where to meet and what to bring and not bring. July was a bit too hot and humid.

Our guide Kevin was amazing: punctual, friendly, and helpful. Kevin kept a good pace, which was important as the Forbidden City is huge and it was a very hot day. Kevin accommodated taking any pictures we needed and he was flexible with group needs. Kevin knew the right places to get photos and the best air conditioned spots for breaks. Kevin is very knowledgeable—answering all questions and appropriately incorporating humor. Highly recommend Kevin and this tour.
