On this tour we will visit most interesting sites of the national park. The content of it varies between the summer and winter season. You will be picked up in Prague and we will drive first to Germany to famous Bastei Bridge. Views from the bridge are just breathtaking. After that we will drive through Elbe Canyon back to the Czech part of the park. Do not forget to bring your passport or any ID with you.

We will visit the largest sandstone arch in Europe - Pravcicka brana, which is set in a countryside looking like the Lord of the Rings movie.

You will love a lunch in a local traditional restaurant where we cover one meal and drink.

!Only between April and October! After the lunch we will descend a hill down to the river to have a boat trip in the Wild Gorge. The scenery of the place is like a fairytale.

A total distance of the hike is 8 miles, divided into three parts. Most people, who are used to walk regularly can do it easily.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. {
You will be picked up in the morning at your accomodation in Prague together with all other participants. Maximum size of our group is 7. We will drive in a comfortable Mercedes van approximately 2 hours to our first stop on this tour which is in Germany. Rest room stops guaranteed.
2. {
Passport or ID needed for this part. Our first stop on this tour is famous and picturesque Bastei Bridge in German (Saxon) part of the national park. A bridge that once connected land with the castle built in sandstone rocks. We will spend approximately one hour there and we will help you to get the best pictures and learn something about the place as well.
3. {
On our way from Bastei back to the Czech Republic we will drive along Labe /Elbe river approximately 30 minutes until we will get to the gate to the Czech part of the park - Hrensko village. We will park our van there.
4.
Bohemian Switzerland is simply the Czech part of the national park. We will spend the bigger part of the day there doing various activities mentioned below.

The most famous part of the Czech half of this park - is the largest sandstone arch in Europe. We start our hike from the parking lot. It is 1 kilometr on the road and 2,5 km up to the hill (the same distance back then). For most people this hike is easy but some people who are not used to walk or exercise it can be more challenging. Take your time. You will make it to the top in the end and the views that are waiting there for you are worth it. Little kids, seniors, they all are hiking to the top every day. You will do it too. Easily. Remember, during the winter season (November to March) the arch is open only from Friday to Sunday. Tisa Rocks labyrinth is our winter alternative.
6. {
You will be hungry. We will take you to a local restaurant to taste some good Czech food and a good Czech beer (or a soda if you like).
7. {
Between April and October only. Some people like this part the most. The gorge is really nice place. The access to it leads through long stairs in a forest down to a river. River Kamenice is in some parts accessible only via boat. And that is your trip. Boats leave from a port through the gorge and at the end of it they return back.

In the end of our day we will take you back to your hotels in Prague again.

It was really a Nice day, well organised and beautiful landscapes, the guide Vojta was so funny, professional and giving us a lot of interesting informations on the history and on the places, the plus was when he played the guitare for our group, I will recommand this day tour without hesitation. Super fun day and amazing guide.

Highly recommended- this was an amazing way to explore this beautiful area! We visited 3 separate areas, including the location of a medieval fortress built on top of adjacent limestone towers and a secluded river canyon. Between the 2nd and 3rd location, we stopped for a delicious traditional lunch at an historic guesthouse currently operated by a mother-daughter duo. Vojta, our guide, told us all about the history and significance of the places we visited; he’s also an excellent guitarist and singer, and he played a few songs for us during our canyon boat ride! Bring your hiking boots and dress in layers so you’ll be comfortable while hiking and also at the top of hills. The longest hike was maybe 3 miles round trip, so you don’t need to bring much else.

Visiting Prague from the US, we were looking to experience the Czech countryside. This trip more than met our expectations. Our guide Honza was excellent. His breadth of knowledge is great, and he was enthusiastic and patient answering questions. He was also very encouraging for those of us who found the hikes a little challenging. Lunch was great. Overall the outing was outstanding and is highly recommended.

It was an amaaazing trip with a group of international travellers and we all jelled l well instantly. I totally recommend this tour to all . Our guide Vojta was excellent, patient, active, he answered all our queries and he knows the region and its history so well . Trip plan was laid out well in sequence and was so much fun !

My wife and I had the pleasure of joining our guide Vojta to see the beautiful parks. He does it all, he drove there and back, took outstanding photos, gave us good insights into the places that we saw and.... he carried his guitar up and down one of the hikes and serenaded us with beautiful playing and signing as we were on the boat portion of the excursion. Ask for Vojta!

Ondrej was a great guide. I went on this trip at the end of March. It was my best day out during my short stay in Prague. If you like being in nature and an easy hike, go for it!
Ondrej was also entertaining, organised and knew some good jokes.

Long day but lovely experience with amazing views . Our guide Honza was very friendly,helpful and informative. We shared the day with a lovely group of people, including an incredible lady who is nearly ninety years old and joined us on all the very challenging steep hikes.You do need to have a good level of fitness to make the last 2 hikes and remember you will need to bring your passport to enter the German border.Would definitely recommend this trip.

Great guide. Hozar is knowledgeable, kind, and professional. The tour happened as expected. I recommend this activity, but make sure you have knees strong enough for the last climb from the gorge.

I really enjoyed the whole experience!!! Honza was extremely nice and very knowledgeable on history and each location! I was really feeling it on the last climb and Honza stayed back to check on me. I learned so much fascinating history.
