So much wonderful information and details I would have had a hard time gleaning from multiple travel books. I learned interesting new details about Eleonora di Toledo and why she would eventually move on to the Pitti Palace and create the Boboli Gardens. We saw the three windows that the Pazzi conspirators were hung from after the attempted assassination of Lorenzo de Medici and murder of his brother Giuliano: the moral of the story—Don't mess with the Medicis. From Michelangelo's striking sculpture "The Genius of Victory" to Dante's death mask to Donatello's bronze of "Judith & Holofernes" in the Hall of the Lilies plus so much more, this was a great tour!

I have never experienced anything like that before! I had booked a tour at 9.30 a.m., but the meeting point in the email was wrong (geodata and photo are incorrect because the meeting point had been moved to the shade), as it turned out later. Since I couldn't find anyone, I came back at 11.30 a.m. However, the guide Francesca was so angry with me that I was only "allowed" to go on the tour after some discussion and a phone call with the agency. I was then treated dismissively and ignored.
How a grown woman can be a guide with such a nasty manner is a mystery to me. When the misunderstanding was cleared up afterwards, there was no apology. Never again!

Our guide was Martina and she was wonderful! She really made the old palace come alive, and told us so much history that we never would have gotten had we just walked around alone. She was able to give us a palatable amount of information without being overwhelming, but was extremely knowledgable and answered any questions we had. I really enjoyed my time seeing Palazzo Vecchio, and think this tour is extremely valuable in understanding it better and seeing it more entirely and with more understanding. Highly recommend!

Fabulous guide and the palace was incredible! Loved the art on the ceilings and the egos of the Medici family. Florence would be a different city without them. Amazing they were contemporaries with da Vinci and Michelangelo, Donatello and Botticelli and others.

Our guide (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name) was great, learned so much about the Medicis, I would recommend this tour to anyone. I would have given this 5 stars rating except we had trouble finding the meet up person with radios, he was supposed to be holding a name of the tour company but he wasn’t.

Sara was a fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly guide! It ended up being a private tour as we were the only ones who signed up, maybe because it was late in the afternoon at 4:30 pm. This was the perfect way to end our day in Florence. Definitely recommend!

After seeing Dan Browns Inferno I really wanted to see the Palazzo Vecchio. The hall of the 500, rooms of the Medici and secret corridors are amazing to see. Essentially stepping back in history to see how the Medici lived during the renaissance. Another treat was Dante's mask. The guide was very knowledgeable and brought the Medici apartments alive, explaining what we were seeing in great detail!
