Peek-A-Boo Slot Canyon is a quiet, special place off the beaten path just outside of beautiful Kanab. The quiet serenity of beautiful colored Navajo Sandstone rocks that have taken millions of years to form will take your breath away and leave you wanting more.
This is a group tour, but no combination of groups will exceed 10 travelers so that we can keep the experience affordable and intimate.

We arrived as a group of four, and I was expecting to take a tour with some strangers, but it was just us. It was nice to be able to go at our pace and ask all the questions we wished. We ranged in ages from 10-69, and the walk was appropriate for all of us. The ride in and out was quite bumpy, which my kids thought was fun in a Jeep, but others may want to be warned of that. Justin was great! He was informative and entertaining. He also took us to a hidden lake and through some of the animal sanctuary, so that was a nice bonus.

I'd highly recommend this privately guided Slot Canyon tour. Our guide picked us up promptly at the meeting point for a jeep tour to the canyon, and then shared highlights of the canyon as we hiked. It was very informative and enjoyable - a great intro to the area!

Great tour, impressive Scenery and very knowledgeable and entertaining guide! Kenny had lots of stories, very inspiring photo ideas, and just a fun guy to have as a guide! We got to spend a little extra time with him as we were briefly stuck in some deep sand - and we were able to meet people from other tours! Just a great afternoon!

My sisters and I took a tour with Drew. He was extremely knowledgeable about the plants, rocks and changes to the canyon it was amazing. He also took some great photos of us and for us! He even adjusted my phone so it would pick up the different colors. We laughed a lot and had a wonderful time!

This was a great hike. We went early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Tour guide had great information and took a number of pictures for us. One caveat though. Don't book it on Viator. They made me pay for 2 people even though I was a solo traveler. They told me that was the minimum I needed to pay for the tour. Book it directly with Coral Cliff Tours of Kanab.

We met at the Coral Cliffs Tour company in Moab about 20 mins before the tour. After all parties checked in we met our guide, Ray, and boarded a large Nissan NV passenger van. I think we had 10 plus the driver. We did the Perkaboo Slot tour. We drove several miles north of Kanab, then entered a deep sand road for the 3.5 mile journey to the slot. The road was rough and we bounced a lot, but the vehicle did well under the conditions. Ray answered any questions we asked on the way. We arrived at the slot, first tour group of the day! He opened a cooler so everyone could grab a water bottle. As we made our way thru the slot Ray told us history of the Anasazi using the upper levels to store corn seeds and others as it was cooler in there. He grew up in the area and as a boy found corn seeds hidden in upper levels of the walks. He showed us the best locations to take photos, pointed out amusing shapes in the curves. He showed us resurrection fern/moss growing on the walls…it was dry and crusty. He poured some water on it and within mins it was soft and green. This slot is much longer than Antelope canyon and you walk in until the way is blocked by stones, turn around and walk out. The light has changed by the time you are returning and new pictures are captured. And the resurrection moss…it was now bright green and very alive!
The return trip on the bumpy road was the same.
Given it was hot and dusty, riding in the AC comfort of the NV was great! But we saw UTV’s like Razrs buzzing very fast thru the sand road with smoothness to also tour the slot. They didn’t spend as long as we did, but I can imagine if you had teens, they would have much preferred the ATV trip!

Peek-a-Boo Slot & Dino Trax was our choice to book for a family trip. Excellent choice as our group included a 3, 6, and 13 year old plus 4 adults. Kyle's offroad skills driving the sandy backroads, laughter on bumpy sections from the boys (& adults) was fantastic! The knowledge he shared of the area and sights not to miss was much appreciated & very interesting. Booking with the office was a breeze. Excellent customer service, attention to details and off road remote safety was never a concern. Pick a tour with Coral Cliffs, buckle up & enjoy. Let them share an exciting desert adventure with you!!
