During the Full Day tour to El Chaltén you will discover the town of El Chalten. This tour departs from El Calafate and it is perfect for travelers willing to discover El Chaltén and its nature without hiking long distances. A guided tour, in which you will visit Chorrillo del Salto and Mirador de los Condores, hiking less than 1,5 miles (2 km). Afterwards you will have time to have lunch in one of the restaurants in town.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The guide will pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate at 7:30 AM and start the trip to El Chaltén. On the way, the driver will make a stop at Estancia La Leona where you can have breakfast and go to the bathroom. We recommend you try one of their delicious homemade cakes. * During the trip you will have incredible views of mountainous landscapes such as Cerro Chaltén, known as Fitz Roy, Torre and also the Viedma Glacier.

Arriving at El Chalten we start the route to the Mirador de los Condores, a route of just over half a mile (700 meters) with little slope, which will offer you incredible views of the entire town and its surroundings. The tour continues with a visit to Chorrillo del Salto, a 0,3 miles (500 meters) flat route.

Around 2:00 PM it is time for lunch. You have two options: you can either have lunch with part of the group, which will go to a restaurant with which the tour has an agreement. Or you can simply ask the guide for a good restaurant in town and have lunch on your own and join the group afterwards. In order to offer you both options, lunch is not included in the tour price. After lunch, you will have free time to have a coffee in the village and get to know it at your own pace.

Around 5:00 PM you will meet up with the rest of the group to begin the return trip to El Calafate. The Full Day Chaltén will have come to an end, but you will still be able to enjoy the Argentine landscape on the way back. You will arrive at approximately 8:00 PMat your accommodation in El Calafate.
