In 2004, to relive an ancient viticultural tradition, the S.v Francesco farm in Tramonti was born, the green heart of the Amalfi Coast. The farm covers about eight and a half hectares and produces wines from the grapes of three local historical families: the Bove, the D'Avino, the Giordano. The modern high-tech equipment of the winery was completed by the beginning of 2005. It is set in the ancient estate belonging to the Di Palma family, the current producers, who availing themselves of the expert professional advice of dr. Carmine Valentino from Avellino. In a historic Masseria of the '700 immersed in the green of the Parco dei Monti Lattari.
The tasting begins with a visit to the historic pre-philloxera vineyards (300-500 years), the 17th century cellar, with TASTING wines from 3 DOC wines - Amalfi Coast - Tramonti combined with "panzanella" accompanied by fresh mozzarella and ricotta, cheeses seasoned and cured meats.

This experience was very fun. The host was knowledgeable and funny. We enjoyed the wine and the food. We also purchased a few bottles to take with us. Great wine! Definitely visit if on the Amalfi coast.

Lovely wine tour, wine was great and would highly recommend the experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the food which accompanied the wine was lovely.

The vineyards were amazing and we learned so much about the wine. We appreciated the knowledge as we wanted to learn the story and the history and both were covered. We enjoyed everything included our drive up with our driver recommended by this vineyard as he was also very knowable. The wine and food was also delicious. Anyone that visits southern Italy should plan a visit here I highly recommend.

We have had the good fortune of finding this wonderful vineyard several years ago. Recently we had the chance to return again. The incredible friendliness of the family who live and work there makes this visit a wonderful experience. The incredible wine is a bonus . And yes, we did ship another case home!

The wine, the food, the people!! We spent several hours and had a four course meal along with four glasses of wine. These are not 'tastes' like you get in the USA, this was a glass of wine. Thankfully, we had a driver. All delicious, ended up buying 12 bottles to be shipped home. Price and shipping reasonable.

My fiance and I were at Tenuta San Francesco last week and had such a fantastic experience. We had a tour of the vineyard and cellar, a private tasting and lunch prepared by one of the family owners. The wine was delicious, but not as delicious as the home cooked meal! Only about 30 mins from Rovello or Amalfi, this is a great side trip for those staying on the Amalfi coast.
