This Tasting is original, unique and allows a journey into the history of the traditions of our territory.

The idea was born with the collaboration born with the ACARBIO Amalfi Coast Biosphere Reserve Association born with the aim of bringing the Amalfi Coast towards this important recognition, because it is a unique territory, and for this reason in 1997 it was recognized by Unesco as "World Heritage Site".

Its landscape, its history, with its innumerable traditions, its varied culture, constantly need to be protected and protected for their uniqueness and fragility.

In the ACARBIO aperitif you will be able to taste different dishes with the ancient Re Fiascone tomato which will be paired with local wines.

The morning begins with a visit to the terraces where the RE FIASCONE is produced then at the end you can taste this incredible tomato (zero acidity) on homemade bread bruschetta, alone and accompanied by a good local wine.

This trip is advertised with tomatoes being the central theme. This isn't really the case, and massively undersells what is a unique and thoroughly engaging and educational experience about the ecological issues faced by landowners in amalfi. Antonio, our lovely guide, showed us around the farm, took us to a neighbouring farmers vines and wine cellar. He explained about the fiascone tomatoes and the cooperative they have with other farmers to produce their delicious sauces... some of which came home with us! We also met and had lunch with some of the worldwide students who come to stay to work on the land or on the other numerous projects that the team are involved in.
Thank you Antonio for educating us in such a warm, enthusiastic and genuinely fascinating way.
Big pat for fiasco the dog too!!!

I went to the tasting experience in Tramonti with friends this summer. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious tomato based courses; bruschetta with tomato or pesto (there was also an option with fish but I didn't take this as I don't eat fish, my friends liked it however). The tomato itself is very special, with a charming story about how the species was saved from extinction by the organisation.

We learned lots about the non-profit ACARBIO and the environmental work that they do working with locals and foreigners through their projects.

The location is picture-perfect. A breath of fresh air away from the slightly more crowded Amalfi coast. Tramonti had a much more authentic feel to it with few tourists and traditions remaining.

Be careful to check the bus times if you are coming from Maiori, the staff were very helpful with this. Other than that they were very kind, happy to talk about their organisation and we felt at home.

Would recommend to anyone wanting a taste of Italian culture in a relaxing setting.
