San Giovanni Rotondo is famous all over the world as the native city of St. Pio (known as Padre Pio) of Pietrelcina, and as the city where the venerated monk worked his miracles. Pio was beatified in 2002. In the Capuchin Monastery Padre Pio received the stigmata in 1918, and there where all those supernatural events that led to his sainthood and canonization took place as well. Visiting this Monastery and viewing the chambers where St. Pio conducted his life means jumping into a context of spirituality and mysticism; it is a destination that the devout and tourists alike should make every effort to visit.

We had the most enjoyable tour with our guide Francesco and our driver Roberto.
They went above and beyond in making sure we saw and experienced everything including what was planned and beyond.
We happened to arrive at the church just as mass was being said and Francesco generously afforded us the time to stay for the mass and receive communion, which meant so much to us.
We had a lovely relaxing lunch at Trattoria Le More experiencing local homemade food.
They were informative, engaging, interactive and extremely warm and fun. They made numerous stops for us to have early cappuccino and eat and to take pictures, pick flowers, bathroom stops, and snacks.
Roberto was extremely considerate with his driving, never causing us to feel distressed.
We highly recommend this team, guide/driver.
A highly religious and inner emotional day.

If you are in Rome and are devoted to Padre Pio, take this private tour to San Giovanni Rotondo. Francesco, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and professional. Our driver was also very nice. This was a four hour drive from Rome. You don’t have to worry about anything and get picked up from the hotel you are staying at. They were on time for pickup and stopped for breakfast on the way there. You get to see Padre Pio’s crypt, the old and new church, and the Padre Pio museum. You learn about Padre Pio’s life and the impact he had on others. Lunch is included. Overall, this was a very nice experience.

Luigi and Sabrina are the best! They made the whole day very comfortable and informative. We felt that we would not be able to experience as much without their help. They are really great!
After the tour, we also booked them for the Papal Audience and Papal Blessing at the Vatican. Special shout out to Juliana and Thora for being the most amazing guides ever! We were able to get the best seats, hold Pope’s hand, and see him up close, because of them. Such a surreal and rewarding experience.

Francesco (tour guide) and Luigi (driver) were great! The round trip was enjoyable and punctuated by a beautiful and varied landscape from mountains to vineyards. Francesco was very knowledgeable and knew his way all around San Giovani Rotundo. We especially liked that he asked us what was on our list of things to see. A great experience!

Bianca is a wonderful lady. She speaks fluently English and Spanish and has a profound knowledge of Padre Pio’s life . Very recommendable tour . The tour company is a serious company, they took care of any detail we enjoy the visit and a wonderful lunch as well . Special mention to the driver “TITO” . Very kind ragazzo!! . A must do if you want to be amazed by the story of this wonderful priest !!

Taking this tour was a last minute decision for us - no regrets!!! As a matter of fact, the tour was priceless. I brought my mom to Europe for The Pope, Lourdes and Padre Pio.
Rosanna and her team did everything to make us comfortable. They made sure the car was comfortable, she made sure we made frequent stops for snacks and toilet. She made us feel like family in Italy!

This Adventure was delayed 2 years by COVID. We kept in touch with Rossana, through Viator and made this fantastic tour a few days ago.
My wife’s wish was to make this pilgrimage to her Patron Saint’s Shrine. Padre Pio played a major role in our lives during recovery of several health situations.
We concluded that Rossana’s Tour was the Best and possibly the only reasonable way to make this journey. We at first thought the trip was pricey, but looking back Rossana’s Personal Tour was priceless.
Picking you up at the Hotel, Rosanna introduces Luigi, your driver for the day. He is an excellent pilot!
She then explains that her intention is to show us a most special day visiting Padre Pio’s Shrine and other Pertinent Sites. Actually, Rossana provided a carefully choreographed experience meeting our expectations perfectly.
Following the religious/spiritual and emotional happening of viewing Padre Pio, one connects with the Padre’s life and after death. The harmony throughout was very meaningful.
Rossana was amazing throughout showing appropriate empathy and continuing the storylines concluding with a beautiful late lunch at Tia Daniele Restorante.
I could go on, but simply put we appreciate Rossana and the Driver Luigi for the total, never to be forgotten, experience!
