We loved our 2-night Signature Cruise. Bai Tu and Ha Long Bay have some of the most stunning views we’ve seen in our travels. Signature Cruise’s 16 staff on board took amazing care of us and the other guests. Hannah and Morning, the cruise managers, were excellent, kind, patient, and very knowledgeable and able to adapt to changing conditions. The whole staff from the food and beverage director to the masseuse made our time on board fantastic. We really can’t recommend the cruise and Hannah and Morning and their staff enough! Definitely recommend the longer 2-night cruise option with Signature!

My fiancé and I had a lovely time on the Signature Cruise in Halong Bay. We have wanted to come to Halong Bay for some time, so this trip was especially special for us. The Signature Cruise staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and easy to communicate with. The activities were well planned and we had a lot of fun. Specifically, Morning and Hannah were great cruise managers and did a good job of keeping us all updated on what we would be doing for the day and sharing the special places in Halong Bay. They were professional, kind, and helpful. I also had an arm/shoulder injury, which they were so thoughtful in asking about and making sure I had assistance every time I got on and off the boat.

On the morning of our departure, there was an incident in the morning, where a family of four was late to the morning excursion and missed it. Hannah had given us several reminders of when we were leaving and the three other parties were on the boat to go visit the cave and beach. We waited at least 5-7 minutes for this party and they never showed up. Later, when we came back for lunch, they were yelling at Hannah and said that we didn’t wait for them and that they would take it up with management. It was extremely unfair and unkind of them, as Hannah was doing her job to ensure that the rest of the parties could enjoy their mornings without having to needlessly wait for this extremely late party. Hannah was extremely professional and apologized, although this was not her fault. We hope she is not unfairly penalized for this.

Overall, Signature Cruise in Halong Bay is was a great experience and we would highly recommend coming on this 3 day and 2 night cruise.

Excellent experience, highly recommend the 3 days 2 nights option. Staff really friendly and can't go out of their way enough to help you.

Morning was are host and went above and beyond to keep everything running to schedule.

Rooms was great with a balcony and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Food was great and plenty of it, if you have any allergies or something you don't like they will make sure to accommodate you.

WiFi was limited but a welcomed break from everyone being clued to phones and everyone interacted with each other throughout the trip.

Highly recommended.

We spent a relaxing three days cruising among the mesmerizing karst formations in Bai Tu Bay – the lesser-known, less-crowded bay adjacent to busy Lan Ha. Our jovial cruise director, “Tom Cruise,” met our group of 20 guests in the spacious waiting area/restaurant at Ha Long Harbor. After boarding a tender to our boat, we checked into our top/second floor spacious junior suite. The suite was all white, with a nice bathroom with a spa tub, and sliding glass doors that opened out to a private balcony. Lunch was served and we were soon on our way cruising among the hundreds of towering karst formations throughout the bay. We boated to a floating fishing village and its cultured pearl farm; here we kayaked for an hour around the calm bay. Upon our return to the cruise boat, several guests had time to get in-room massages before “Happy Hour,” and an easy, fun cooking demonstration where we learned to make (and eat) Vietnamese cold rolls with shrimp and pork.
Tom was a very affable cruise director, informing us of the schedule of activities at every meal. All the meals on board were delicious – extensive breakfast buffet, with pastries, fruit, eggs made to order; and set “fusion” dinners (including pumpkin soup, grilled shrimp and meats). We were seated at tables of two with flags marking our nationalities and guests were quick to share conversation and the day’s adventures. We had thought we would have time to swim from the beach during our three days, but were told that the captain needed to find cleaner water and that there were jelly fish to avoid. So, the only swimming opportunity available was at one spot, we could jump in off the side railing of the boat. The boat’s ladder was a little short, meaning you had to pull yourself up to get back on board. Most everyone joined in, although one jump was enough for me.

We chose the cruise to Bai Tu Long Bay rather than Ha Long Bay, as we had been warned the latter is over-crowded. We also opted for a two-night cruise to give us chance to relax. Both turned out to be the right choices as we managed to fully relax while getting to know other passengers. The cruise through the islands was beautiful - and the early morning mist only added to the atmosephere (and made for an entertaining boat ride the following day as the team tried to locate the day boat in the fog by following its horn).

Our Cruise Manager, Morning, was exceptional - very friendly, welcoming and with a great sense of humour. His colleagues were equally welcoming, too, and the food on the cruise was also excellent.

We had a couple of kayaking experiences during our cruise - the first, past the floating village, was particularly good fun. The second, around a bay, was nice enough but a reminder of how litter is sadly polluting our seas.

The trip was amazing. We were so secluded from other boats. This cruise was the antidote to all of the other reviews that say that Ha Long is too crowded - the Signature Cruise through Bai Tu Long Bay was perfect. The first night, we didn’t see another boat for miles. Tom and the staff were phenomenal - they were to welcoming, so friendly, and so attentive. They clearly prioritized our experience. We were so surprised about just how great this was - my boyfriend and I got off the boat confident that we had made the right cruise choice. I’m serious - this is the best way to see it!

You can blindly reserve your cruise with Signature.

The trip is expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for. The cabin is quite luxurious, the food is good (and typical from Ha Long bay) the cocktails are cheap, the crew is nice and responsive. I recommend the Bai Tu Long trip, it's longer and further away from the most touristic spots of Ha Long Bay, and is more preserved from floating trash. The program is a good balance between activities and leisure time.

Our Cruise Manage Tom, a local from Cat Ba, was delightfully kind and listening, with just the right hint of humour. He made the cruise a seamless experience.

The two night cruise was fabulous. Our cruise manager Tom (aka Tom Cruise) took care of our every need. A much quieter, serene experience than Ha Long Bay. The boat was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The extra day gave us time for a wonderful kayak experience to a hidden beach and undiscovered cave. Food was fabulous especially the local lunch on day two. Thank you Tom for an unforgettable experience.
