You are basically hiring a non-English speaking driver to take you to these spots. If that is all you require than you will enjoy the trip. But if you want anything explained in English, you won't get it.

This was not a tour as booked but rather a comfortable taxi ride. Carlos was very pleasant and a good driver but had no English and was not able to add any information or explanation. He was out of his depth as a guide. One of the stops in the itinerary was unknown to him. We had specified an English speaking tour and the trip was only tolerable due to my husband's Spanish knowledge. No drinking water was supplied as specified. Higuey basilica was very impressive however.

Professionally on time for both pick up and return in our hotel. Courteous tour guide and would respond to questions as neutral as possible by simply stating facts and real experiences of the countryside people. The tour was a Sunday so there was no chaos... it was a breeze going through the sites Altagracia, San Dionisio Churches and the sites of farms that grow sugarcane, tobacco, coffee and chocolate. The visit to a typical country-side homeowner would showcase how the house is made of iron sheet roof and wood structure for the house. It's really a quick ride of 45 minutes one-way and then 45 minutes or less coming back to hotel. Total tour was 4 hours with a complementary drink of water, soda or Presidente beer!
