32F, I went on this trip with my mother >55 and her partner. We flew into Mexico City and Mr. Marco was waiting for us at the airport. He is absolutely pleasant to speak to we mostly communicated in Spanish because of my mother however if there was ever any question he explained it to me in English. My mother planned the trip but Mr Marco was able to accommodate any changes we made, CDMX is massive and as we learned more there was more we wanted to see. We also visited Cholula and Puebla on this trip which I would recommend.
The food he recommended was always a hit, my mom who is a little bit more particular about her food was also very satisfied with his recommendations (My only comment to that would be very clear about the environment you are looking for, if you are particular about that not all establishments are what we are use to in the US). Be open to different foods because it's all so good.
Marco had given us recommendations to hotels in La Roma, I would definitely trust his hotel recommendations. He had recommendations for ver picturesque restaurants and locations. He also recommended catching a Folklorico show at the Teatro de Bellas Artes but we just didn't have the time. We felt so safe at all times on this trip, please don't let fear ruin any plans you have for Mexico City.

Marco was really pleasant and knowledgeable, he reached out to me before the trip to understand our interest and needs. On that day, he took our family to a few really nice sites for visit, and brought us to a super tasty restaurant. My mom said that was the best meal she had while in Mexico city. We would definitely recommend him.

If you wish to have a fabulous tour of Mexico City and the surrounding area, you must use Marco and Insolitours! Marco planned a great, individual itinerary for us that hit all the highlights and some hidden gems as well. Marco was an amazing guide. He is extremely knowledgeable, does a great job explaining things, is very friendly and charming, and speaks perfect English.

Excellent service, Marco was always diligent and attentive, the fact that the tour is private allows flexibility with the itineraries and needs of the group. The family and I enjoyed it very much, we are very grateful. We definitely recommend it.

It was a great city tour with Marco and for my first time to visit Mexico City he put all of us at ease. Enjoyed everything we saw and he made me want to come back for more. Marco knows his job and felt very comfortable with him.

We’re expats living in Mexico full time. We have visited Mexico City several times on our own, but recently when family from the US came for a visit, we decided to introduce them to Mexico City. We found Insolitours online and booked a day-long city tour. Our guide, Marcos, is a native of Mexico City.
Marcos is an excellent guide, very personable and speaks fluent English. He gave us options for our day-long tour of Mexico City and did not rush us. We really enjoyed his explanations of the meaning behind the Diego Rivera murals at the Ministry of Education Building. He also showed us several historic buildings that we would have never seen if touring on our own. We finished the day at the Soumaya art museum and although we didn’t have a lot of time, we had a good introduction. We rank Marcos at the top of our list of tour guides we’ve used and highly recommend him and Insolitours.

Travel I lost my cell phone during the trip to the airport, then I tried to contact customer service and in addition to being rude, they never solve anything. They give you a virtual number to communicate with the driver but it never works, I tried to enter a credit card but the system rejected it "due to security risk" then the advisor who assisted me asked me to capture the page where they rejected me with the data of my card, to send it to him, I explained to him that he didn't tell me to do the capture and he cut off the conversation, without solving anything. Very cheap, but terrible customer service in the application.

I had been in touch with Marco (who is quick to respond via Insolitours) about a tour of Teotihuacan with a side trip to Amecameca and possibly up to the volcano park. As it turned out Teotihuacan was closed (per government order due to COVID) but we circled the site and Marco gave us insight into how the area was set up and how the regular (read: Non kings) people lived in the area. I learned different things from when I was inside the park at another tour. THEN we drove to Amecameca ostensibly to see Popo and Izta, and we did see them. Instead of going to the Volcano Park, Marco suggested we go to the local market in Amecameca. It was GREAT. After being in Teotihuacan, we enjoyed a non touristy area with interesting foods, products, and people. Oh, and Popo spewed out some ash for us. Marco was able to answer our questions about almost anything Mexican (he know both ancient and modern Mexican history) and he was creative and flexible to our schedule. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Marco and team did a great job giving our private group tours in Mexico City, Puebla and Cholulla. Their cost was lower than the average on TA.
The Mexico City food tour was our favorite because we went to places where the locals ate. Even though there were lines some times, the food was worth the wait. Our guides were always punctual and catered to our needs.

We spent a day with Cesar and another day with Fabio exploring Mexico city. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the service provided and the knowledge of both guides. More importantly we just had a fun day sharing our different cultures and perspectives. I highly recommend a private tour to allow flexibility and really efficient use of your time.
