Cenote Exploration Tour - Mayan culture & ancient fossils & FUN!

An amazing and unique experience! This tour went through the incredible Cenote Chaak Tun which is filled with stalagmites, stalactites and fossils. It was unlike anything we have ever seen before! You will also see little catfish, birds and bats. The bats eat mosquitos so there are none in the cave but bring bug spray for when you are waiting outside in the jungle before and after. Our guide Bohish was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly, he really made the tour very special and memorable. We were provided with reef shoes, helmets and wetsuits were optional for an additional 200 pesos. It was quite cool inside the cave and getting in and out of the water constantly so we got the wetsuits and we were very comfortable throughout. You can’t bring any electronics inside the cave unless you have a water proof GoPro that you can attach to yourself. They take photos of you and you can review the photos and decide if you want to buy them after for 800 pesos. They gave us a little snack at the end (chocolate croissant) and a shot of tequila which was very welcome as you build up an appetite hiking through the cave. Don’t forget to bring some cash to tip your guide. You can pay for your photos and wet suit with credit card or cash.

Bosch was incredible. He was very knowledgeable kept us focused. Another thing I really enjoyed was how enthusiastic he was. He showed us things that we take for granted. He was very educated and willing to help us learn. I could have spent hours walking around with him and learning. I would give him five stars and this experience was amazing and I would suggest anybody goes to it

Amazing tour. Very safe! Boash was a great tour guide. He told us so much information about the caves and formations. Snack could have been better. Group next to us had guacamole, wings, fresh juice. We had gross sandwiches. All in all I would definitely do it again!

This excursion was FANTASTIC. Lots of reviews said this experience was the highlight of their trip to Mexico, and our trip met that same expectation. Bohish is the most amazing guide. He was fun, entertaining, engaging, so informative and helpful. This is one trip you do not want to miss. It was simply magical!

Private tour in the morning was the way to go. Our guide, Bohish was engaging and informative. We enjoyed the entire cave and deep cenote by ourselves in complete peace. The staff was helpful, friendly and engaged. Highly recommended!

I booked a PRIVATE Cenote tour for 2. While we were out at sea, 24 hrs before and without means to receive communications, the tour was changed to add another party. We were then told we were late the following day and the tour had already departed with the other group that shouldn't have been there in the first place. We had let the tour provider know there was a possibility for us to arrive a little late in advance.

Visiting this cenote was the highlight of our trip to Cancun, for sure! Bohish was and INCREDIBLE, INCREDIBLE guide on our private tour!!!! He is so passionate about what he does and he does it SO very well. We were entertained and educated all at the same time. We felt safe every single second while on the tour. The cenote was absolutely mystical and magical - like no other experience we have ever had. I told Bohish my knees and back were not the best, and he said "No problem! There are different routes we can go and I will take you on one that does not have a lot of bending over". The photos that were taken by Luis (I think I am remembering his name correctly) were fantastic, and such a great souvenir to remember our time there. We rented wet suits for $10 each and would highly recommend doing that. The simple but oh-so-tasty sandwiches (plus the shot of tequila!) were so welcome after all the activity we had that day! THANK YOU, Bohish. We will always remember you with fond memories for making our vacation the very best!!!

Well worth it, we had some issues in the morning of the tour and the tour comapany was super helpful to accommodate, friendly driver and great experience.

I'll start like everyone else by telling you how great Bohish is. He took us expertly through the Cenote while not only entertaining us but also educating us.

I truly believe this is the best way to see a Cenote ; a guide, you and your significant other/family. We had all the time to see everything, to swim in the underground pool while surrounded by the stalagmites and stalactites.

You're cut from the rest of the world for 2 hours where you can enjoy the beauty that our planet has to offer. A wonderful experience and definitely one of the highlight of our trip.

And last but not least Mexxtremo is a small company that really deserved to get known, they put a lot of care in their tour.
