When we travel we like to do food tours and things we don’t often do. We did our first pasta making class at Nonna Flora in Sorrento. It was one of the best experiences we have had. Anna did such an amazing job and the food we prepared was some of the best we’ve ever tasted. You can’t miss this experience if you happen to find yourself in Sorrento.

Truly a one of a kind cooking class! My girlfriend and I spent the week in Sorrento for a family trip, and wanted to take a cooking class in order to learn more about the local cuisine. After researching a few different places, I stumbled upon Nonna Flora, run by Anna. I was instantly struck by the more personalized program she offered, which includes keepsakes such as aprons, photos from the class, and even recipes that she sends to you personally.
But most of all, Anna has gone above and beyond to create a truly memorable and personable experience. We took the group pasta making class and were so impressed with her facilities, professionalism, and warmth and generosity. She truly took the time to teach us everything from making tiramisu, limoncello spritz, fettuccine pasta in a butter/lemon sauce, and lastly a ricotta/mozzarella stuffed ravioli with a fresh tomato/basil sauce. Not only did we learn a lot, but she was also genuinely curious about us as people and made it feel like we were lifelong friends!
The recipes we learned were passed down to her from her grandmother (hence the namesake of the location) and this really made it feel as though Anna was welcoming us into a piece of her own personal life.
If you want to learn how to make great Italian food, and in turn walk away with a lasting impression of a great experience, look no further than Nonna Flora! Truly the highlight of our trip in Italy. Thank you Anna!

This was the highlight of our trip to Italy! It was such a fun class. The kitchen is a small and well designed environment perfect to get your Italian chef experience! Anna was our chef and did an amazing job making this class fun and helping us learn how to make great Italian dishes. My wife and I both agreed this was some of the best food we had in Italy. All the food you prepare are recipes that have been in Anna’s family for generations. Highly recommend this experience!

Absolutely loved this class! Making pasta was something we had never done. We learned so much! And the sauces we prepared gave us an appreciation for how simple sauces can make for an outstanding dish. We also learned to prepare an amazing cocktail! Her kitchen was bright and clean and so pleasant! Can’t recommend enough!

Outstanding experience! We learned so much and made several pasta dishes and different types of pasta. Class was hands on with guidance from chef Anna. The studio was bright and very clean. Anna was a delight! Really enjoyed the wine no and cocktails too. Don’t eat before you go to the class!! Highly recommend!

Such a fun day learning how to make pasta, making several different kinds including ravioli. We made our own sauces for the pasta using all fresh ingredients. We started the class by making tiramisu from scratch, which was the best I have ever tasted. We enjoyed several courses of our own cooking along with wine and liqueurs with dessert. The instructor, Anna, was fabulous sharing her grandmother’s Italian recipes. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in learning some Italian cooking and having a great day with a small group.

What an amazing class! Anna and her partner Giuseppe provided such a truly amazing experience. We learned how to make several different kinds of pasta in the same way Anna did with her Nonna growing up and it was some of the best I have ever had. The class was informative, personal and just an overall unforgettable experience.

100/10… Anna is amazing, kind, and a great teacher. We had SO much fun in this cooking class. Easily the best part of our trip to Italy so far. The food was better than any restaurant that we’ve eaten in, which is saying a lot! Don’t think twice about it, just book a cooking class with Anna. You will not regret it! If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! Anna was amazing from start to finish. This class was welcoming, fun, entertaining and geared towards all levels of learning and cooking. We had THE BEST time and our food was delicious!! Anna took her time and kept us full and laughing. If you are ever in Sorrento, YOU MUST take this class! The school also offers pizza making classes!!! You can’t go wrong.
