In Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor, we encountered aggressive and almost intimidating merchants, but less so in the Nubian Village. It was an honor to stay at the Nubian Palace Hotel, and receive the truly extraordinary hospitality of our host. Visiting Nubian’s homes and experiencing the culture first hand will always be etched in my memory. After learning that my DNA is 97.5% African, and my earliest ancestors were found in upper Egypt, this was a most profound experience for an African American.

It was an incredible experience. The boat was extremely comfortable, the food was outstanding, the staff was perfect, and the visits to the Egyptian temples were exceptional. Even when we had to wake up very early, it was all worthwhile. A special thanks to our guide Moumou, who was a superb individual. His knowledge of Egyptian subjects was extremely extensive, his French was excellent, and he was so entertaining, patient, and organized. He was a crucial part of the fantastic experience we had. It was an wonderful experience overall.

This cruise is excellent for anyone wanting to see famous Egyptian landmarks. Mustafa was our tour guide on this trip and he explained each stop very thoroughly. He made things very convenient, and he made sure that everyone had a good experience. I would highly recommend it.

The cruise experience went beyond my expectations and it was very well organized. The hot air balloon was the icing on the cake. Big kudos for the guide Mohammed who is very knowledgeable, kind and willing to help at all times. Great fun!

Mustafa Ragab is a tour guide with rich knowledge of ancient Egyptian civilization. He is very familiar with ancient Egyptian history and has extensive knowledge of hieroglyphics.
