The tour was a very special experience and my kids (6,4) took actively part when we visited the local school.
It was all very well organized and interesting to see the various projects going on.
Definitely a MUST while in Nairobi!!

The non-profit teachers were knowledgeable, made us feel safe and comfortable. The tour is a walking tour for 3 hours so please keep that in mind.

Wonderful tour. Kibera in an incredible place and you really need a good guide to understand the complexities. The work you support with this company is important to the locals as well. Very informative and they can really customize the tour to your needs.

I did this tour solo initially as a way to kill half a day in Nairobi and this became the highlight of my trip.
Benta took me on a walk through the slums and to her primary school in what was a truly educational, shocking and humbling exoerience.
Seeing residents with so little remain happy and willing to work for their community is at first hard to comprehend, and leaves you both happy and sad.

I truly learnt so much from someone who grew up in and experienes Kibera daily. I cant thank Benta enough for the time she spent showing me her home and work place, sharing her story and that of others will stay with me for a long time.

For anyone in Nairobi, I would truly confider booking tickrrd

Good experience to get to see Kibera by foot. We got picked up at our place and dropped off there as well. We were two people and had two tour guides with us the whole time. We felt very safe during the entire walk and it was great to get to see Kibera through the eyes of the locals. At the end of the walk we got to visit the seed school and see the good work that they do there.

I and two others had an excellent walking tour with Winnie, who is a resident of Kibera. The tour included a visit to the slum's public bathroom, Winnie's house and the tiny school room (to name a few of the sites). Winnie was gracious and informative. The slum's residents must be used to seeing Westerners trotting about, and I felt completely safe.
