Mooloolaba Canal Cruise has been operating for over 30 years, and a recent refurbishment has added a modern luxe feel to a much-loved piece of Mooloolaba history.
On departure we cruise past the Wharf complex and Marina towards Mooloolah Island which boasts some of Mooloolaba’s most desirable mansions and award winning homes.
We continue on past Minyama Island where you will hear all about its famous residents before entering the Kawana Canal system and learning the history of the canal development.
We'll also cruise past Steve Irwin's famous vessel Croc One!
It’s then out to the river heads where we turn the boat around to take in the breathtaking views of the coastline from Mooloolaba Beach right up to Noosa Heads, before we head back through the river where we pass the pilot boats, commercial fishing fleet and observe the wild Osprey Eagles’ nest among other things.
There is a fully licensed bar onboard offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as snacks.

Really enjoyed our trip up the river and hearing a bit of information on the houses and history of the area.
The boat is quaint, staff friendly and it’s a nice thing to do with tourists. I might go back and do the sunset cruise.

The reflections of the trees In the water, made for some great photos.
The running commentary was very informative, and the glass of bubbles was a nice touch.

What a lovely way to spend a leisurely hour. Our two crew were delightful , friendly and informative.We learned about some of the history of the area and the vessel and saw some of the priciest real estate around

Ken and Nina were amazing hosts, filled with so much knowledge and kindness!! Would absolutely recommend this Canal Cruise to anyone wanting a little to explore the Sunshine Coast’s Canal, especially at the sunset cruise. Beautiful views and an amazing sunset!!

It was such a nice cruise, the pilot was such a nice friendly guy, with a great running commentary on everything we saw. And the young hostess Nina was also very good and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this cruise to anyone.
As an aside, they asked us to change our booking from the Sunset cruise, to the 1pm cruise ( the weather had suddenly turned cold), and to compensate us we were each offered a free drink, which we gratefully accepted.

This cruise was awesome! First of all, I would like to thank the tour owner/operators for pushing back my time--their generosity allowed me to enjoy this cruise. I loved the guides, Ken and Mina and their sense of humor. Don't worry, no crocs got on the boat haha! The Croc One made me tear up a little, RIP Steve. Us Americans miss you too. 💖 Such an informative and fun trip around the Sunshine Coast. Would love to do more tours in future!

Highly recommend this tour. Lovely way to while away an hour. The commentary was very informative and funny, and nice that you could get a drink or nibbles if you wished.
