The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.
The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms.
Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.
The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

We went out of Jupiter but it was a fantastic experience. Went with my college age son and friend. We caught 11 fish total between us and really enjoyed ourselves. The deck hand John was fans worked very hard so you didn’t have to do anything. All the crew was friendly. Would recommend!

Easy parking, check in and boarding. Once you’re on the boat and seated the first thing you hear about is the “contest” for biggest fish $10 a person. Half goes to the winner, half goes to the crew and how they work for tips. Understandable, but it would’ve been nice to have been shown how the rods work first. It was a beautiful boat ride to the fishing spot. Quite a few fish were caught but the biggest issue was the 40 people fishing on one side of the boat. Constant line tangling and if you have a fish on, moving around other people and their stuff make it difficult to keep reeling. The crew was nice but irritated at times due to the tangled lines. They were quick to bait the hooks and pros when fish were reeled on to the boat. Overall, it was a nice trip. It would have been a higher rating if there were about half of the number of people on the boat and we had room to fish on both side.

Great family fun fishing trip crew was great we all caught multiple fish lots of fun! Very family oriented. This was our 5th time on the boat.

This was my first fishing trip with my 12 year old son. We didn’t catch anything unfortunately but the guys on the boat were so helpful and caring. You can’t predict the fishing but you can enjoy the wind and the water. We loved being on the boat and looking out into the water as it changed colors. They taught us what we needed and we would go on this adventure again and hopefully catch a fish.

They had everyone on one side fishing on this small boat— (@ 40 people total) resulting in it being crowded and everyone’s lines kept getting tangled up. It takes from the fun and reduces fishing time significant.

We had a great time, caught a small fish and were able to have cooked nearby for lunch. Crew was great and very helpful. Kinda wish there was a little lesson for newbies, but the crew was really accessible if you had questions.

I always dreamed about going deep-sea fishing 🎣 and this trip made my dream come true. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable! Impeccable boat, great trip! I went fishing with my best friend and it was our first time fishing. We saw a lot of sharks! We ended up catching the biggest fish 🐠 🐟; beginner’s luck! We will definitely do it again! Keep up the amazing work!

The overall experience was amazing, however I wish that the people were spaced out more so the lines would not keep getting tangled. The crew was very helpful knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely go again.
