One of our best days in Colombia going to El Retiro, El Penol, Guatape and a family-run coffee farm. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teens. We don't usually do packaged tours with a guide, but I am so glad we did this one and would highly recommend it. Well worth the money. Fernando was an excellent guide with a great playlist for our drive. He was so knowledgeable about the history and culture of the places we visited. You can tell that he truly loves sharing information about his country with visitors. We had a lot of questions and he was happy to talk about everything and never rushed us. It was really a lot of fun. We especially enjoyed the Finca La Rivera coffee farm. The owners were super gracious and showed us every aspect of the process ending with delicious coffee. And the town of Guatape is so colorful and fun to see.

Our trip to Guatape was beautiful. Our guide Andres (the owner) spoke excellent English and was very easy to understand. On our scenic drive to Guatape, we visit the town of El Retiro to enjoy a morning cup of authentic coffee and see the town’s colonial architecture. Andres is very engaging while he shares his passion and knowledge for his city and country. We enjoyed Andres’ tour so much that we booked two more tours with him. You won’t be disappointed with this tour!

We had the best time with Andres on our tours. We did a total of 3 days and tours with him and can’t recommend him ENOUGH. He was knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating. We did the coffee tour, horse back ride, Medellin city tour, and the guatape tour. I’m so happy I found him, he did the tour for 9 of us all of my family. He also has our driver Jaime who was super great as well. He made my sisters birthday extra special and went our of his way to get her a cake! Thank you Andres for offering tourists a trustable, amazing value, and authentic experience. Will definitely book again when we return!

We spent a lovely day with our guide Juan, learning about Colombian culture. We booked the Guatepé and El Peñol tour, and added on the coffee tour the a few days prior. The entire day was amazing, and my 5 tyr old absolutely loved Juan. He was friendly, engaging, and safe. He arrived on time and his driving was excellent. His recommendations were on spot and he took his time with us. I wish we had more days in Medellín just so we could book more trips with LandVenture. I highly recommend them!

Highlight of our Colombia trip, beautiful region. Our guide Alejandro was an excellent conversationalist. Learned so much about the history of Medellin/Guatape. We got a real appreciation for the culture of the people, their artistry & innovation. Highly recommend!

Alejo was awesome - he had great English, talked the perfect amount (hate when a tour guide never stops talking!) and brought us to a few unique stops along the way to Guatape. Would highly recommend for an affordable, safe way to have a private trip to Guatape!

Our family of five, including two children, had a wonderful day tour with Juan to Guatapé & El Peñol. Juan spoke great English and was an amazing, enthusiastic, patient, kind tour guide who provided excellent explanations about the area and sights. We left at 7:30 a.m., which was very helpful to avoid the big crowds and traffic at the destinations that Juan took us to. We also took a nice boat ride where we saw lots of beautiful sights. At the end of the tour Juan dropped us off at the airport, which was very helpful. Thank you to Juan and Landventures.

We had an amazing day of touring with Alejandro. We started off in the lovely town of Retiro, where we enjoyed coffee and conversation. In fact, we conversed with Alejandro on many subjects nearly the whole day, and we learned a ton about Columbian culture. Plus, he was extremely nice, flexible, and professional. On from Retiro to the turn El Pinol, the huge Rock of Guatape, and the fantastic, colorful town of Guatape.
Planning was easy because Andres made it so. He was great to work and made sure we were all set prior to our tour.
There's a reason Landventure gets 5 stars - and they got one from us.
Best to pay with cash.
