My family and I loved this experience. It was set in a great chocolate shop in charming Notting Hill. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable about cocoa beans from around the world and walked us through the entire process from harvesting the bean to pouring out delicious chocolate into moulds.

I learned a TON about different chocolate and got to sample chocolate of different compositions and flavors from around the world. Watching my daughter make chocolate and leave so happy made this experience worth it. We had an awesome time and would definitely do this again.

We loved this amazing chocolate experience. We were is a small group,of 5 people and got welcomed with tea and coffee. We started on time with a brief overview of chocolate making from bean to bar, learnt about roasting and got to sample roasted beans. We ground beans until they made a paste and then got to cool down lots of delicious melted chocolate ready to make our 3 handmade chocolate bars. There were lots of delicious decorations and flavourings to add. Then we got to lie down in a little rut to taste different chocolate drops. Our bard were cooled and ready to wrap. A lovely little orange and dark chocolate treat at the end was unexpected. Thanks to our amazing and knowledgeable host - you’re a star and we’d definitely recommend.

Our instructor was amazing! Not only did we make chocolate bars, we also learned a great deal about the history and the overall process by which the cacao fruit becomes chocolate. We also ate a LOT of different chocolate types. Highly recommend for chocolate lovers and those who are just interested in learning about chocolate.

I enjoyed so much at the workshop!! I learned how/where the cacao beans were produced, the science of tempering chocolate, chocolate tasting from about 10 different regions of the world. We also made cocoa mass by crushing and heating the beans and chocolate bars with lovely toppings. All in one and a half hours!! The session was well organised and we all had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!!!

Zara and Andrew are true chocolate aficionados to learn from at Melt.
My mother and I not only had a great time making our own chocolate bars but we now have a much more enlightened appreciation of chocolate’s origins and quality types. This is an excellent learning and tasty experience!

We took the Bean to Bar class, it was amazing. Andrew and Neus were amazing facilitators and made sure that everyone in the class was fully immersed in the "chocolate experience". I think the experience was enhanced by their ability facilitate discussions and passion around chocolate. After taking this class I have learned a lot and even being American our chocolate is significantly inferior to that which is provided in the UK and 10x inferior to that which is sold at Melt. Above all it was the intimate and personal setting of this class that made it an amazing experience.

This bean to bar class was the highlight of our anniversary trip to London. And we cannot recommend this enough. There were other people there who were from the UK and they fully enjoyed themselves as well.
