We were disappointed that we could not tour the entire house, we did a plantation tour in New Orleans and were able to see the entire plantation. The grounds were beautiful and enjoyed reading the history of the plantation and brick making. If someone wants to see the inside of a plantation home this is not the tour you should take

Amazing tour from start to finish. Well organized and the staff is very helpful in directing tourists to the right places at the right times. Rich history and a great opportunity to learn about the families that have owned and lived on the property. Loved it!

The McRae family did a great public service by donating most of their land to the Low Country Conservancy. The Boone Hall plantation is one of the best preserved examples of a plantation. The Boone Hall Plantation also does not paper over its past. They have a wonderful presentation of the Gullah culture.

Ed Hanson gave us the tour of the home. Ed made the tour very entertaining and fun. He is extremely knowledgeable in the grounds and history, but also sprinkled in jokes and stories of ghosts. Thank you Ed!

Very good experience! Interesting presentations and a good way to connect history class lessons with a real plantation. We appreciated the unstructured visit - everyone in the family could do what they wanted. The ice cream at the Butterfly Cafe was excellent!
