Enjoyed my evening with Taka in Shinbashi, went to three local bars and sampled a range of local food and drink, including beer, sake, whisky and shōchū. Taka was an engaging and amusing host and as a solo traveller it was nice to talk to him and the other couple on the tour that evening. It gave me a greater sense of what Tokyo and Japan, and their residents, are really like.
