It's led by Charleston's only South Carolina Chef Ambassador & Palmetto Guild Certified tour guide, Forrest Parker. Leading the teams at some of Charleston's most iconic restaurants, Parker has been called a "visionary who calls upon the culture, history & flavor traditions of South Carolina to create heritage-infused experiences." Parker was recognized by then Governor Nikki Haley as a S.C. Chef Ambassador in 2016, a capstone for a culinary career that began in 1995.

We had an amazing time on our tour with Chef Forrest! The tour was interesting and entertaining; Chef gave us great insights into the history of Charleston, its people and food. It culminated with a delicious lunch made for us by Chef Forrest, accompanied by excellent wine and anecdotes. Highly recommend when in Charleston!

This was an absolutely fantastic tour. Super interesting and we learned so much. Chef Parker has an amazing talent both in the kitchen and outside of it. Relating history thru the eyes of a chef then preparing a 3 course meal for us at the end was one of my most favorite tours ever. I give it 10 stars. I highly recommend this booking!

Booked this tour on a day trip while cruising. My husband and I love to learn about local culture and food. This was the best of both. Great walking tour and ended with a delicious meal and wine pairing. Would definitely recommend to others and would do this same tour again as we enjoyed it that much. Can’t wait to enjoy the hot sauce and we already ordered the bacon.

Absolutely the very best tour we have ever done! We loved Chef Forest! His knowledge and love of the city and how the food history binds it all together made this well worth the time and money. He is an incredible cook and we had one of our best meals with him. We will do this trip again!

My mom, sister and I spent a wonderful 1/2 day on this tour. It was a very informative walking tour that focused on the history, architecture and cuisine of Charleston. This was followed by a cooking demo/meal with our charming tour guide and chef. The other guests were great too. One comment was “we’ve been here all week and this was our best meal”. Well worth the splurge!
