This was a great tour. The guide Jacob was amazing. He explained all of the history and the story of the sites in a way that was riveting. He really knew his stuff and could answer any question. He also threw in a few stories from his own family which made the whole thing much more personal. I would highly recommend this tour!!!

We loved the tour. We listened to a podcast about the operation before we went so we had a general idea. After we were done, we watched the movie based on it that was made a few years ago. We also were looking up maps trying to figure out where things were. Expect a more lecture / informational tour - you do see artifacts and put your hand on them- you see pictures of where Hitler entered the city and how it looks today. It is more adult friendly- because it truly is for those interested in History / world war 2- not just strolling around city. The person giving the lecture/tour was very knowledgeable (I hope he is a teacher), he wasn't political but I appreciated his perspective when asked on the way the Czech people see the events as well as some of the debatable aspects of the incident that happened. He also had a relationship with the Church Priest- and we literally were in an area by the altar. (I am sorry to keep saying "He" because I can't remember his name) he lifted up the rug- and you still see the plywood where the Nazis had gotten into the crypt. He was respectful to the staff - can see the special relationship between the Church and the company. I wish I had a chance to make a donation to the Church- they didn't capitalize on what happened nor do they discourage the acknowledgement- they treat the property as a military grave. The bullet holes remain, there was still candles lit on the area where the bodies were laid out- the respect the people of Czech give these martyrs. It stuck with my husband and I - I bought books now on what happened. I know this review is all over the place- but I commend the company for explaining what happened to Czech that set up the events, I appreciate the solemness of the tour - it isn't about sensationalizing it, if we forget the past - we are doomed to repeat it. The people of Czech were really impacted - and all the lives that were lost- these men put a face to that. I would only suggest, just because it made me read up on it- and maybe that was the point-- to share what it was like under the German regime for the Czech people just a touch more. Also, the artifacts were things I hadn't seen before- but maybe if you have anymore copies of what the area of looked like during the war- it was amazing to see how much was still standing - we walked the rest of the day looking that up. I would also indicate on the tour - maybe I didn't see it- how manhy locations you go, because some of it we do stand getting the run up near the square- getting to go inside and sit down, see the artificats was really helpful too on a hot day. Basically- thank you. I love history and my partner does not- and he became obsessed after this tour. Thank you also for sharing with us tourists in a non exploitive way that some people may want just a crass presentation- but it really impacted us for days after. We appreciated your tour guide- we didn't get a chance to thank him (and tour tips was not asked for nor expected) because he left at a military grave in solitude. (we went on Friday at 2 pm). Sincerely- a very jumbled but inspired tourist
