Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's most popular destinations. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Masai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants at a close range. You will also have excellent views of hippos, buffaloes and marvelous Egyptian pelicans.

Enjoyed an exceptional customized tour of Amboseli NP with Twinkle Star tours. The owner, James, is a master of customer service. He responded promptly to my questions, checked in on me during my trip, and even personally delivered some Kenyan coffee to me at my hotel since I didn't have time to get it myself. Amboseli NP was excellent! I had some incredible wildlife sightings including elephant/lion interactions, my first cheetah, and incredible bird life. I also spent a couple of hours visiting a village of the amboseli masai, which was really interesting. My driver Daniel spoke english very well and was able to position the vehicle in just the right way to help me get some great shots of the wildlife. Great tour overall. Very pleased with my experience.
