Ricardo was fantastic. He let us through a beautiful, informative tour of the Dora valley, pointing out various fruits, and even picking fresh cherries for us to eat. He then took us to a wine tasting lunch with delicious food and a breathtaking view. Highly recommend!

Ricardo was Exceptional. Best day of our two weeks in Spain and Portugal. Pleasant ride from Porto with Ricardo sharing knowledge of Portugal, Porto, Douro Valley and all points in between. Met with the Winemaker and toured Quinta Do Cume and learned a lot! Went to a wine tasting at friend’s (Ronald and Jet’s) home in Provedense that was remarkable - whites, reds, and red and white Ports from various winery’s. We had lunch with them and truly enjoyed the experience. So unique and so informative we will repeat it again when we return. You cannot go wrong with Ricardo.

Incredible day when the Ricardo. Picked us up at our Airbnb. Nice ride to Duoro Valley. Nice small village stop for coffee the to private small vineyard. Wine tour of winery and then extensive tasting of wines and ports with great conversation and wine making history. Winery was tour was with owner of a family winery. Winery was I. The family for three generations. Then to another village for wine tasting and lunch with wonderful couple. Food, wine and conversation terrific. Highly recommend the tour!!

What a wine-derful day! The photos do not do this place any justice. Every place we stopped was a another postcard moment. Thank you Ricardo for the amazing day out! If you're looking fir a tour guide then you really shouldn't bother looking any further than Ricardo. He introduced us to places that were off the beaten track. Places that weren't overrun by tourists and were still occupied by locals. From the knowledge of the Douro Valley to the wine tastings to the points of interest I couldn't have hoped for a more fulfilling day. Thank you very much Ricardo. I will be sure to recommend you to any one wanting a true local experience.

Wonderful family walk through the Douro Valley. Excellent treatment by Ricardo. My father, sister and I were able to spend a fantastic day contemplating beautiful landscapes, try an extensive wine tasting, and walk through one of the excellent vineyards in the area. Without a doubt, highly recommended.

We cannot say enough about what an incredible time we had with Ricardo! My two girl friends and I booked a day in the Douro Valley, hoping to simply see the valley and taste some wine, but our experience went well above and beyond.
Just from the car ride to the valley, Ricardo was incredibly kind, fun, easygoing, and fit right in. Instead of taking us to the touristy part of the valley, he took us so the quaintest small town where we got an extensive wine tasting on a deck overlooking the entire valley.. simply gorgeous and serene. He knew everyone in the small town, and was exceptionally knowledgeable on the wine, history of the valley, harvesting, and Portugal culture too. Knew the answer to anything we asked!
We then were true LOCALS by having a fun lunch in the town's "only" one room bar (complete with Ricardo the bartender!). And then off to a winery! Complete with a walk through the vineyards to it, a tour, and tasting looking out to the adorable winery. Even after the long day, Ricardo drove us down closer to the river for the ride home, so we could stop along the way and get the most beautiful pictures of the valley. He was so flexible to make the day about anything we wanted to do, see, or talk about.
It was a truly memorable and exceptional day, one I never will forget and still talk about! Ricardo makes it a day to remember - don't hesitate a minute on taking advantage of the day he has in store for you!!!!

Ricardo was recommended to us as a tour guide and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. We really enjoyed a LOCAL experience, walking through the vineyards, learning about the area, picking almonds and apples, and more! After a pretty substantial wine tasting (be prepared!) overlooking the gorgeous hillside, we were treated to a party in the small village of Provesende that only happens once a year. I wanted to pinch myself. The town itself is stunning and the people were welcoming from the baker making bread to the firemen who invited us in for pulled pork sandwiches and soup. This is an experience we will savor for a long time! Thanks, Ricardo!

We booked Ricardo for a private tour of the Duoro Valley. He was excellent! He was very easy to communicate with and very helpful prior to the tour, and on the day of the tour he was fantastic. We found him to be very friendly, very knowledgeable of the area, safe and accommodating (for eg, we asked him to stop after he picked us up so we could grab a coffee) We would definitely book him again if we return to the area. We highly recommend him!
