Was a female solo traveller and was picked up from Hanoi Noi Bai airport at 645pm , direct transfer in a black 4WD (called a 7 seater by the company) to Sapa. Total door to door time was 4 hours - was at hotel by 1045pm. Pre departure booking was pleasant and seamless with great service by Lily. Water bottle provided in the car. The trip back down from Sapa to Hanoi airport was equally pleasant - on time, and door to door of 4.5 hours in the morning time (left Sapa at 1030am, at airport by 245pm).
Tip for those travelling by private car to Sapa- do take the 7 seater even if you are a couple or a small group. The winding road in the last hour up the mountain makes u feel very dizzy and i was less dizzy in the 4WD.
Car will stop for toilet breaks/ meal along the way on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway- just inform your driver. Bring spare VND cash to pay to use the toilet.
Great experience and will book again if ever in need of private transport.

Be careful with booking as there are many services that sound the same.
We used Hanoi Transfer Service twice, both from Hanoi airport to hotel on arrival into the country, and then the next morning to go to Sapa as we were leaving very early and weren't sure about our esim cards, nor the reliability of public transit to get us to a bus station at 6am. It was expensive by Vietnamese standards, but given the length of the drive to Sapa, we considered it worthwhile for our peace of mind and ease just arriving in Vietnam.
I wanted to make sure to leave a review as there are many fake ones out there, and even less availability for anybody who's used a service to go to Sapa. I have to give them full credit, both journeys went off without a hitch., and Tracy Pham was very available by whatsapp. Our driver from the airport was waiting right where indicated for us, and our driver for Sapa showed up right on time the next morning. The "english" speaking isn't exactly accurate, but for the airport transfer we didn't really have to talk, and for the next morning we relied on google translate for any communication we needed. We had indicated wanting to stop and see a few viewpoints on the way to Sapa, but outside of the one prearranged pitstop at a roadside market, the only stops we got were for our driver to relieve himself on the side of the road with all the red bulls he drank. We didn't really care, but if you do want stops to take advantage of those beautiful views, you'll have to be much clearer than we were.
The only reason I'm not giving them an excellent review is regarding when we tried to book a transfer for the way back. We hadn't initially been going to use their service and rather take a bus, but I had been sick with a *horrible* sinus infection and was willing to cough up the money for both ways. The different individual tried to up sell us. She said we wouldn't be able to use a car (despite that being what we had being driven there in!), as it wasn't suitable for Sapa, and would have to book a full van instead. Then, increased the price as it was a stat holiday. While I don't take exception to the latter - to a certain degree - the quoted price was nearly triple what we had paid before. Needless to say I just drugged myself up and we took a bus.

Tracy Pham was the one who assisted us throughout our trip. She was always available and responsive via Whatsapp ( to the extent i wonder if she sleeps!) She will check in with us during the journey to make sure we are doing ok and if we require further assistance. During one of our tours organised by HTS, i gave feedback that our guide could not really converse in English, and she managed to arrange another guide to meet us at the next tourist spot immediately. I highly recommend booking your transfers and tours through her!

We have used HTS no less than 8 times while traveling around Vietnam. They are not limited to Hanoi. We first had an airport transfer in Ho Chi Minh City. A driver was waiting for us at Da Nang airport for ride to Hoi An. Hired a private driver via HTS to Hue. Transfer to airport and from airport in Hanoi. Driver to/from Sapa and finally to airport in Hanoi. COMMUNICATION VIA WHATSAPP WAS INCREDIBLE! Drivers were always early, professional and courteous. Vehicles clean and in great condition. I totally recommend HTS! And keep in mind all these transfers were during Tet.

Chanced upon Hanoi Travel Service when I was looking for private transport from Sapa to Hanoi.
I have sent an email on Saturday late evening and received a reply from Anna Pham the next morning. After which, I have been corresponding with Anna via WhatsApp.
I am very impressed and satisfied with the service Anna has provided. Anna made sure that all my queries were answered. Her explanation was clear and her reply was prompt too. Didn’t expect her to reply me on a Sunday evening (8ish).
She is also fluent in English and Mandarin.

I recently used the private car service from Haboi to Sapa after a few weeks in Vietnam and deciding to treat myself after all the buses and trains. Lily, who facilitated the trip, was prompt and helpful. Our driver was professional and safe and the car was comfortable and clean. The price is reasonable for a private vehicle. Highly recommend if you're going from Hanoi to Sapa and want to spend a few extra bucks to avoid the hassle of a bus.
