This is one of the alternative treks that ends in Machu Picchu.

Along the route you can do various adventure activities such as biking, Rafting , zip line and trekking & Machu Picchu.

We booked with this company and paid 130USD for the 4 days - less than everyone else who ended up on the same tour but booked with different agencies. We were really happy with the service: The bikes and equipment were in great condition. Our guide Vicente spoke English fairly well and tried to make it fun for everyone. Ziplining was really fun and the hikes never too hard thanks to several well-organized breaks. Food was also always excellent and more than enough for us personally (we would have loved some fruit for brekky - but hey, that’s high hopes haha). The rafting did not happen due to the rivers being way too high in rainy season (we saw them with our own eyes and did not want to be on them on a boat). But we were advised of this before (thank you!) and therefore paid a bit less. In total, I would say the best way to get to Machu Picchu!
Just be aware to bring a good amount of change of clothes in rainy season ... mountain biking will get you DRENCHED!

We got picked up at our hotel by our guide Carlos to be informed it’ll only be us on the tour which I found rather disappointing as it would be been nice to meet other people during the duration of the tour. During the rafting and zip lining you are out with other groups so it was nice to mingle with other travelers. It was here where our issue started, we found out other people booked their tours in Cusco and paid MUCH less than us as we booked through Viator. I know third party sites need to make money but we paid about $140 extra per person that if we booked on the tour site directly with the same package but this is not the fault of the company but our own.
I really recommend this tour with Peru travel company but do not waste your money and book through any tour agency just book with them directly, our guides English was exceptional and William ( I believe it was him ) was checking in on us throughout the trip which was a nice touch. The tour ran very smoothly and was nice to learn some of the Peruvian history.
The accommodation is basic as well as the food and make sure you take plenty of extra soles as the Peruvians charge you for EVERYTHING even toilet paper in the second accommodation it’s all cheap but it does build up fast. This will be the same for every tour so don’t let this put you off.

I booked this tour back in May 2019 with the very friendly staff. Everything from the booking process to the tour itself was very smooth. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour. The tour guide was explaining the Peruvian culture and he made it very interesting for us. We even had a little boogie on one of the nights
The rafting was definitely my personal highlight it was so much fun. So was the ziplining! Definitely recommend this tour and with booking with this agency.

Very good organization of our 4 days trek towards Machu Picchu.
Our guide Carlos was very knowledgeable and spoke good English.
The activities (mountain biking, rafting, ziplining) were a lot of fun and were included in the original price as planned.
We even got a private room with bathroom in the 3 different hostels without extra cost (very basic accommodation and meals but normal for this kind of trek)
