In the northernmost region of Vietnam, Ha Giang is a remote destination that has been open to tourism for only a few years. With a population of just over 700,000 people, this is one of Vietnam’s poorest places, and it shows—not because it is decrepit or run-down, but just the opposite—not being reliant on a strong economy has kept the area pristine and preserved, virtually untouched by the harmful effects of mass tourism and big industries.
The region boasts nature as you have probably never seen it. Massive limestone walls, granite outcrops everywhere, hanging valleys, rice terraces climbing to the clouds, and winding roads carved into the mountainsides.

Due to abundant amounts of clients these guys have become rude, arrogant and ignorant. They won't answer basic questions and the information on their web-site is not correct.

Right from the minute that I was picked up to be taken to Ha Giang Adventure, I knew I had made the right decision in regards to which company to go with.
Our group was small (4 people compared to other groups that contained 15-20) and we got to meet in the car along the way.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendliest of staff including our tour guide Truong. The weather was terrible (a once in 30 year storm which caused Ha Giang to flood not long after our departure) and the decision to ride the bikes ourselves was very questionable. Truong gave us plenty of time to sit and discuss our options as whether to ride ourself or he could call some easy riders in to come and ride for us. We went with the latter option and honestly it was the best decision we made as a group. Chai, Lai and Tinh arrived within minutes and we could not have asked for better riders. It was like being on tour with your mates. All 4 spoke very good English as well as being very knowledgeable. At the home stays they were great for a laugh especially once the “Happy Water” came out. Their experience on the bikes in the toughest of conditions was exceptional. Never did I feel unsafe on the back of the bike whilst Chai (my rider) navigated landslides, flood waters, getting bogged along with many other obstacles that were thrown at us. On top of this I was able to sit back stress free, take in the views, take photos as well as videos. We were also given plenty of time at each stop to walk around and soak in the views/ see the attractions.
The home stays were amazing as were the hosts.
The food was second to none.
I could go on all day but honestly I could not fault Ha Giang Adventure. It is definitely in the Top 5 of things that I’ve ever done. I can not wait to one day come back and ride the loop again myself. I can’t recommend this company enough. Do yourself a favour and book with these guys, you won’t regret it.

Everything about this business is 5 star. They go above and beyond to deliver an excellent experience.
Vietnam and maybe tourism as an industry should employ Hai Giang adventure to educate and influence the best possible experience to all business that require tourists.

This is an incredible way to experience the Ha Giang Loop and was the most enjoyable and memorable experience of our time in Vietnam. Ha Giang Adventure keep the group size small and know where to go to avoid crowds. All our riders had great English and knowledge of the roads, places we stopped off and looked after all of the accommodation, food and activities. The homestays exceeded all our expectations and really added to the experience. We will absolutely be back to Ha Giang Adventure in the future. A shout out and thanks to Truòng, Chinh and T - a great bunch of guys who had us laughing throughout and would recommend you request them when booking.

The Ha Giang loop tour has been the best thanks to Phong and Con, who taught us so much about their cultures and ways of living, and always made us feel safe while driving their motorbikes through the most scenic roads we have seen in Vietnam. Besides, some of the homestays were a true dream and we ate like kings. This is a must, go for it!

Ha Giang Adventure (HGA) are an amazing company, our tour was such an incredible experience for us and definitely the highlight of our 3 months in Vietnam!
HGA are very well organised and professional. We communicated via email prior to the tour, where they always responded quickly and were happy to answer all of my questions. Booking was as simple as sending a message, payment was all online, a deposit at the time of booking, and full payment later. They organised buses to pick us up from our hotel and take to Ha Giang where our guides met us at the stop. After the tour our guides took us to the bus stop and loaded us on, the bus took us back into Hanoi, to our hotel.
HGA prioritised safety throughout the trip. They provided safety gear (helmets and elbow/ knee pads) but we already had our own that we used. They rode at slower speeds, which was great, it meant we could really take in everything there was to see! If you wish to ride your own bike they ensure you have all the licencing required, you can't jump on a bike for the first time here.
The Ha Giang region is full of different ethnic minorities that we got to learn a lot about in our tour. All of HGA's tour guides grew up in, and are from Ha Giang. This means the guides know all about the area and can take you to their home and share the culture with you, which provided a really personal experience!
The maximum size for a group is 6 people, and each person on the tour has their own guide/ easy rider. Even if you ride yourself, there will be a guide for you too. As it was the quiet season when we went we had a private tour, just me and my partner, with our two easy riders, who were absolutely amazing! Being in a small group meant we went to little remote villages, homestays, and cultural experiences that large groups aren't able to. This allowed us to see further into life in the mountains of Ha Giang!
The cost of the tour included breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday, where we got amazing spreads of local food that was delicious. There was so much great food... so much! Our accommodation, which was a different homestay each night. They were all were so unique and really nice, with lovely host families! It also included the cost of tickets to all of the attractions we saw and our guides leading us through, talking about the histroy of them all. These attractions inlcuded: a boat trip through Sông Nho Quế; The National Flag Tower at the China border; Dinh Vua Mèo, the king's palace; and a tour of a local hemp weaving building in the H'mong area.
Our guides, Truong and Cay, were both absolutely incredible and truly made our experience! They were good friends with each other, which was nice to see, and they were so funny. We all got along so well and they became our friends. They both spoke and wrote perfect English and were so knowledgeable on the Ha Giang provience and Vietnam in general. They taught us about everything ranging from history and culture, through to people and food. Both of them were amazing riders, we never felt nervous or unsafe on their bikes. Over the four days these guys really made the trip for us and create some truly incredible memories!
I really can't recommend these two amazing people and Ha Giang Adventure enough. The whole experience was eveything we could've hoped for and more! Huge thank you to everyone involved!

This adventure was the absolute highlight of my Vietnam adventure. Our motorcycle companions took such great care of us. Cuong, Cay and Nu, I can’t thank you enough for your professionalism, consideration, warmth, fun, and friendship. Everything was so well organised. The food was incredible with a huge variety, the accommodation fabulous. Being a small group meant we weren’t rushed, and we avoided the crowds.
I highly recommend this tour group. Worth every cent.

I had an excellent experience with Ha Giang Adventure as recommended by a friend. They were very accommodating, provided a private car to pick me up in Hanoi and the small group allowed us to be flexible tailoring the trip to our needs. Our guides Nu, Hoa and Hien were fantastic, sharing so much about Vietnams history and culture. I would absolutely recommend to anyone interested.

This is my second trip with Ha Giang Adventure. I'm so glad to have come back and travelled with this amazing crew, Cuong, Cay and Nu. These folks are dedicated to make the trip safe, fun and memorable.
Transfer between Ha Noi and Ha Giang is smooth ( door to door), the group size is perfect (three travellers including myself), every meal is so tasty and the accommodation is beautiful and comfortable!
They avoid crowds which made our trip super memorable. Especially I enjoyed the hike where no other tourists were.
Special thanks to my loveliest driver Nu. We had lots of laughs and jokes while on the rides 😆 She also remembered what the travellers’ favourites were and arranged them.
I cannot wait for the next trip with Ha Giang Adventure! 😊

We went on a 4d3n Ha Giang tour with Ha Giang Adventure with our two children (aged 6 and 8). We had an absolute blast and it was such a beautiful trip!
