With more than 100 years of existence, Poças lies in the hands of the 4th generation, being one of the very few Port Wine company that was born Portuguese and still belongs to the same Portuguese family. The Old Tawny Ports have built Poças’ reputation but DOC Douro wines have been proving their own quality over the last 30 years. Recently, Poças received the award of “Fortified wine producer of the year 2018” by the Portuguese magazine “Revista de Vinhos”. We really enjoyed the tour. It was really useful that we got to know a little but more about how the Port Wines are made, what different categories does it have. The wines were excellent and all together it was a really nice experience.
Our tour guide was really helpful and really nice too.

Excellent guide who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Nice place, tasty ports and not too big a tour group. For the price would have liked a bit more info / tour and one or two more wines to taste.

Tasting the wine!! I never knew there was a white, rose', or tawny port. I only ever knew of the ruby. Definitely worth going

We were with a group of 34 people and had a great experience at Poças. Our host Yara was awesome and shared a lot of interesting information and historical insights with us. You can tell it's a family company, one of the few left in the Port wine business. The site is beautiful and the tasting was delicious. Highly recommended!!

Detailed guided tour. The cellars are pretty and authentic. The guide who accompanied us was really adorable and passionate. Perfect tasting with explanations. Possibility of ordering a snack to finish. The cheese and charcuterie board was also very good.
Cellar outside the town and very touristy area. I advise you !
