Our cruise will start from Ouranoupolis, also known as The Gate to Mount Athos, as it is the last settlement before the border between the Monastic State and the rest of the world.

During our journey you will observe 8 of 20 ancient monasteries of Mount Athos and will discover the history of this secluded place, accessed from the sea and allowed to men only, for more than 1000 years.

Keep your camera on, as you might have a chance to take a picture of the dolphins swimming alongside the boat, or even a rare opportunity to see a Mediterranean Monk Seal, one of the rarest marine mammals in the world.

Beautiful coastal tour, with surprisingly large, beautiful monasteries and at the end a colossal mountain. Friendly onboard staff, with affordable prices to drink.
Nice fish eaten after the boat trip in Ouranoupolis.

Everything was excellent in terms of the boat and staff!
The ladies taught me to say something nice in Greek to the monk who came on the boat.
Unfortunately, monasteries are not very visible from the great distance allowed by law, except for the very large ones.

Great monastery, interesting history. Boat too crowded, mass tourism.

Everything is too cramped on the boat. Uncomfortable seating.

Excellent atmosphere on the boat with the arrival on board of a priest to bless the women who are prohibited on the peninsula.

Let me say the detracting things first to get them out. I think they overbooked because we had no place to sit. And there were about maybe 8 others we were struggling with to find a place to sit or stand. Secondly, no binoculars were handed out so I'm guessing that was changed or another reviewer made a mistake about what this tour offered. The audio was reasonably well done, but I couldn't catch all of it due to people talking or other noise (wind, motor, location where I was standing,...) Since my fiance is Russian, I asked her if they spoke in Russian and she said they did, however I can't verify content being same as English. So here are the good remarks;
Friendly, helpful crew, including the barkeep. Excellent cruise, with lots of things to see and keep you engaged. We would have liked to land at the end of the island even for like 10 minutes, but I understand it was not part of the cruise. The ship was very comfortable and had plenty of places to stand and walk around, get out of sun, safe and secure. I was very fortunate to get a parking space right as I drove in but plan ahead because there are about 3 other cruises that launch and the parking gets filled rapidly. We both had a double cappucino and pastries which served our appetite well enough on board, but they have snacks, drinks, beers, and cocktails available. Overall, a very good experience. The Greeks know how to be gracious and accommodating.

What a beautiful trip along Athos. Information was provided in various languages. We were just too late but they were kind enough to wait. There is a snack and drink available for purchase. In short, we had a fantastic day
